FAQ

Is the product made of plastic or metal?
The adapter's body is aluminum and therefore more rugged than plastic.
Is this compatible with Apple M1-based Macs?
Compatible, but not optimized for Apple M1- and M2-equipped macs. When used with Apple Silicon, this adapter will only operate at 1GbE speed due to Apple's unique architectural changes.
Does the adapter only run at 5GbE?
Actual connection speed is negotiated based on the device and cable being used. For example, performance may be limited by an older USB 2.0 port. Cables that properly follow their specification (CAT5e or higher) should handle the maximum speeds at up to at least 100 meters.
