Hello.
I'm planning using the enclosure NVME M.2 10 Gbps "EC-SNVE" on Windows XP connected with a PCI-E USB 3.0 (Via labs), but i want to confirm if it will work.
Can i connect the enclosure and PC/laptop/game console (ps5) using a "cable extension" between both peripheral?
Ps: and about the last firmware, do you provide them or it's outdated? Can be changed the "Sleep time" using the MPTOOL (DISK_IPS_THRES = )?
@naustodark The operating system has to support UASP for proper operation. Connecting at baseline USB 3.0 speeds will max performance at 5Gbps with 8b/10b encoding, so 4Gbps before overhead. Topographically you generally cannot share USB devices at the same time unless there's a KVM switch. If going beyond the USB spec for total cable length, performance may be reduced or the device may not work at all. It's possible to modify the firmware but we do not assist in that process.

"The operating system has to support UASP for proper operation":
I know i will get less than 5 gbps, but i want to know if i can connect it to my Windows XP and transfer files (using a PCI-E card usb 3.0 UASP). The cable will be 1 meter at most.
Thanks.
@naustodark 5Gbps USB should have UASP support as long as the operating system supports it. Windows XP needs to be updated to have full functionality with this. A 1m cable should pose no problem. Again, we don't directly support direct firmware modification, but you may check the relevant enclosure thread on the AnandTech forums if you want to learn more. Otherwise, you can get the newest firmware from our site or if necessary, technical support on the website. Make sure your existing firmware revision is older before updating. You can get more information on the device and your USB connection with USB Device Tree Viewer.

Anything can be changed or even added in the config file as you can use the .cfg file provided by Sabrent v1.33 firmware for the stock settings which is as follows:
VID = 0xbda
PID = 0x9210
MANUFACTURE = "Sabrent"
SCSI_VENDOR = "Sabrent"
PRODUCT = "Sabrent"
SCSI_PRODUCT = "SSD"
SERIAL = "830720240827000A"
;DISK_IPS_THRES = 10
LED = 0x1
;HW_LED_CFG = 0x0
CUSTOMIZED_LED = 0a 01
;SUSPEND_LED_OFF = 0x0
UART_DBG_PIN = 5
DIS_SHOW_EMPTY_DISK = 0x1
USB_SELF_PWR = 0x1
and then use the "Configuration" section in the following guide on the different variables available:
