The 10 bay HardDrive docking station

  • Hello my name is Austin and i am looking in to equipment for my ideal gaming and editing setup, i was looking for enclosures to hold more harddrives and or ssd's then a normal desktop can hold, but my one main question that i havent been able to find the answer to is would you be able to run enough read and write speeds off of the device to be able to use it as a storage expansion for a desktop and successfully game off of it ? as if the game is installed on the drive in bay 9 would i be able to access the game file and run it smoothly ?

  • @austin seewald Each port can achieve SATA 6Gb/s speed with an appropriate drive with USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 (10Gbps) in total for all drives/bays simultaneously. An individual hard drive being accessed solely with be run at its maximum speed, so would run/act normally. Hard drives are not the best solution for games or game loading but would otherwise work.
