I got the SABRENT Rocket XTRM 5 2TB Thunderbolt 5 Portable SSD for my MacBook Pro m4.
It's hot even when I don't copy or read anything from it. Even when it's ejected, it still stays around 45 degrees Celsius(113 Fahrenheit).
My MacBook uses around 7W in IDE mode, but with the SSD connected, it drains an additional 7W(14W in total).
It seems like a crazy power usage for doing nothing. Is this expected behaviour for that drive? Is there a way to fix it?
