Reviews are saying it gets really hot during file transfers and I'd rally not like to cook my controller.
Any ideas for clipping on a fan to put onto its heatsink to take heat off better maybe?
Does anyone sell a solution to fit it?
It seems like these get so hot that it'd be best to make fans and a shroud for these like gfx cards have.

Hi,
10GbE networking naturally generates a lot of heat. If the heatsink feels hot, that actually means it's doing its job pulling thermal energy away from the controller. The card is engineered for high temps, so you don't have to worry about high temperatures.
We don't sell an official fan kit or shroud for the NT-10PE, but if you want extra peace of mind, here are the easiest DIY fixes:

Mount a 40mm fan: Fan screws or small zip-ties fit directly into the aluminum heatsink fins so you can attach a quiet 40mm fan.

PCIe fan bracket: Cheap online brackets mount into an open expansion slot next to the card to hold a 90mm or 120mm fan aimed right at it.

Case airflow: Make sure your front intake fans are pushing fresh air across the lower motherboard area.
The card is completely fine running passive, but adding a tiny 40mm fan drops temps dramatically if you like extra cooling. Let us know if you need anything else!
