SSD enclosure (USB 3.2) with SATA SSD at USB 2.0 speeds !

  Hi everybody,

  Two weeks ago, I bought a Sabrent SSD enclosure (USB 3.2) for an Orico SATA SSD. Everything works fine but at USB 2.0 speed : 30MB/S... All of my computers or mini PCs have USB 3.0/3.2 ports. I expected better speeds with this device. So, can somebody help me to solve the problem ? I changed the original cable with another one but definitely no...

  @lobot3 Use the program USB Device Tree Viewer to see the negotiated connection/transfer speed. It's likely USB 2.0. What are your system specifications? You can try this firmware update as well for the EC-SNVE.

  @Sabrent The firmware in your link appears to much more recent version than what is on the product page under Downloads > Firmware Update.  Is there a reason for the mismatch??

  @Arrell Realtek has newer firmware available but we don't test and roll out every release. If most people have no problem, we prefer to address it case-by-case.
