My asus 515-54 708w dropped from a couple feet high and stopped booting. I've been trying to recover the files off of its OEM Kingston sn520 nvme m2 2280 s3 512gb with the Sabrent EC-SNVE I got from Amazon. The drive shows no signs of damage.
In disk managment it says disk 1 not initialized (not showing capacity) and in device manager it says sabrent ssd usb device. Gsmartcontrol sees unknown model pd1, unknown model, basic health check unknown, model family unknown.
I came across this thread saying that some WD OEM drives (like SN530) have compatibility issues with certain chipsets/enclosures. Can anyone confirm if this applies to the SN520 as well or should I try a cheap (m210?) fideco as they did?
