I some years ago bought a Sabren 2 TB for a key to use for a portable system and portable apps and storage.
I tried to find a holder for 2242, but the one i ended up with sadly have a way to disconnect here and there and is thereby not so stable for running a system.
Also i see a new line of 2242 with more speed has come about and with 4TB, very nice. Although i do not see in in Germany yet on their Amazon, maybe there is another place one could get a 4TB drive from inside Europe, if anyone knows please by all means share :)
I think and hope that the disconnect with the key running a Portable Gnulix system is hopefully the containers fault and not the harddrive itself, although has to be tested. So looking into finding some new ones that might do the trick. The idea of cause is to be as portable as possible, although the case i have had did seem to some time overheat, but there is all this controller and stuff in it, so it could be how the case works in itself, although seen some cases with fans or some heat sink or more surface to air exposure. But hard finding small cases....
Anyone knows of some 2242 cases that would fit the old and the new 2242 drives and maybe also support the greator speed of their new harddrives, although, i guess it might be overkill overall for the USB, but hopefully that would just generate less heat if the harddrive is not using its full potential.

So here are the links, apparently bought the 2TB 3 years ago or so, was pretty expensive :P But never got around to trying out other cases then the one i have for it now.
So I was looking at the chenyang, it seems it might be decent for it, but if anyone have any suggestions or the company themself have something up their sleeve, then by all means :)

Sadly i was hacked and all my stuff ruined to make a full package portable apps, never tried an evil filthy attack like that before. And i was on the lockout for 32 bit versions of portable apps, sadly ended me with an very evil file. Like one thing is to destroy the users system for the fun of it..... like you can fix that pretty much, but this was based on trying to get money out of the user and a full package of everything into one, ruining your user data files and wanting money to give your some kind of password to decrypt your files, beside ruining your system and locking things down, mankind is so evil..... You try to help others and you get slammed to the growned by people willingly comitted to do the most sickening acts of evil.
I have also over the many years been running systems from the USB keys, the big issue both for running systems and portable apps, is the lower levels of speed. Seems like the companies over the many many years tried to make there USB keys work very badly at the low count levels of files and speed. That makes them pretty much totally unsuable for portable apps or systems to run as you have many many small files to load and to save. So having a full blown SSD fixes a lot of those issues for sure as they are usually very very good at small files. So Hack the planet and you can make your own small powerfull SSD key or case I guess, although it has to be able to be stable so it does not throw of the system as you then lose things.... I do not think you can reconnect the system if it first loses connection, but maybe there are some ways to help on these things, anyway, enjoy the information on the website. I am from the days of windows 2000 pro, the time of paradise computing, just before the fall into madness.
You see the big companies wanted to control people and have the applications connected to the system, while it was and is possible to be free and take your data with you and the application and continue on another system if the application are portable having all the data in its very own folder. But this sick world and the compaines and the evil programmers and so forth, wanted to gain as much control over the users as possible and still do, jailing us and on lots of levels, and nearly you end up nearly only using your time jail breaking things, hack the planet kind of thing, trying to find lopeholes for trying to do what formerly was default things. Tedious....
