Hi,
I hadn't used my hdd adapter in several years. Today I took it out and plugged in two drives, one an ssd and one an hdd. My pc won't recognize either drive, either in file explorer or disk management. Also, the sata light isn't on. I've double checked the ac and usb connections. Is my unit defective or is there something I could do to fix this?

@lloyd gray Does the HDD spin up? If the LED indicator is not coming on it's possibly a power problem. USB power alone may not be sufficient.
