Cloning a System drive

  • I've offline cloned a system drive 128GB to a larger 512GB drive.  The clone worked, but it left an unallocated partition that's not the same partition as the System (C:)  So the drive capacity is showing the original 128 GB capacity.  How would I combine the C: partition and the unallocated partition to create more space to store files.

    I used the EC-HD2B cloner

  • @D H You should be able to extend the partition manually with a program like MiniTool Partition Manager or with the built-in Windows Disk Management.

  • I have the same issue, but I am using a Mac operating system. I cloned a 12TB to an 18TB. The 18TB doesn't have its full capacity. I have tried using the Disk Utility but the Partition feature is greyed out. See image.

  • @David Lloyd There may be multiple partitions; show the sidebar and show all devices as done here and see if that shows the missing space.
