I have link-loss and packet loss problems with this NIC.
Every 10 minutes or so it'll lose the link and it takes between 5 and 30 seconds to re-establish, impacting Applications.
The cable(s) are short (1m) Cat7, the switch port(s) are stable with other NICs.
Host is either MacMini M2 or Air M1, both running macOS 13.2.1
There is a firmware upgrade for the NIC, but the flash utility is windows only. Really ?
(I don't have a windows machine with TB3, so its useless.)
Any options before I just return this thing ?
@Pascal Karls The TH-S3EA uses the Aquantia AQC107S ethernet chipset and unfortunately Marvell does not offer a firmware updater for macOS. It seems like there may be a compatibility issue with the AQC107 and macOS, judging by Google search results. I would suggest the Apple Community forum to see if there is a solution.
Hoch oben im Jura suchte ich nach einer neuen Herausforderung für meine Freizeit. Nach einer Reihe von frustrierenden Abenden mit hohen Verlusten wollte ich eigentlich aufhören. Dann bin ich auf vegashero gestoßen. Die Slots online sind dort grafisch echt ansprechend. Zu meiner Überraschung knackte ich nach wenigen Runden einen ansehnlichen Betrag. Meine Verluste sind vergessen und ich bin nun vollends zufrieden mit meiner Wahl. Es ist der Zeitvertreib, wenn der Nebel über den Bergen hängt.
