Sabrent Limited Warranty Policy
At Sabrent, we are committed to engineering high-performance hardware that stands the test of time. This Limited Warranty outlines our commitment to the original purchaser that your Sabrent product is free from manufacturing and material defects.
1. Scope of Coverage
This warranty is granted exclusively to the original purchaser of a new Sabrent product purchased from an authorized reseller.
- Non-Transferable: This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners.
- Authorized Sellers: Coverage applies only to products purchased through official channels. Products purchased from unauthorized liquidators, auction sites, or third-party marketplace sellers are sold "as-is" and are not covered by this warranty.
- Intended Use: This warranty applies to products used for normal, personal, or home-office applications and does not cover products used for industrial, mining, or high-intensity commercial purposes.
2. Warranty Duration & Extension
The standard limited warranty period is typically 1 or 2 years from the date of purchase, depending on the specific product and region.

- Registration Bonus: You may register your product at Sabrent.com/support within 90 days of purchase to extend your warranty to 2, 3, or 5 years, depending on the specific model.
- Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or invoice is required to verify eligibility. If no proof of purchase is available, the warranty period will be measured from the date the product was sold by Sabrent to the authorized distributor.
3. SSD-Specific Endurance Clause (TBW)
For Solid State Drive (SSD) products, the warranty period expires either at the end of the stated time period or when the drive exceeds its rated Total Bytes Written (TBW) threshold, as defined in the product specifications, whichever occurs first.
4. What is NOT Covered
This warranty does not cover:- Data Loss: Sabrent is not responsible for any data loss. There is no warranty for the recovery of data. You are responsible for maintaining regular backups on separate media.
- Abuse or Environmental Damage: Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, neglect, tampering, or unsuitable physical/operating environments (including power surges or thermal damage).
- Unauthorized Modifications: Any product with removed or altered identification labels (serial numbers) or hardware/software that has been modified or repaired by unauthorized parties.
- Third-party compatibility issues: Failures caused by products or software for which Sabrent is not responsible.
5. How to Start a Claim (RMA Process)
Before returning a product, we require that you contact Sabrent Technical Support. Many issues can be resolved through remote troubleshooting without the need for a return.
- Authorization: If troubleshooting fails, you will be issued a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
- Shipping: You are responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the defective product to our service center. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.
- The fix: Sabrent will replace the defective item with a functionally equivalent product (which may be new, or previously used and tested to meet Sabrent specifications).
- Return Shipping: Sabrent will ship the replacement product back to you with transportation prepaid. You are responsible for any applicable importation duties or taxes.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sabrent shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages—including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, or downtime—arising from the use or failure of a Sabrent product, even if Sabrent has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Statutory & Regional Rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by state, province, or country. For consumers in regions with mandatory consumer protection laws (such as the EU, UK, or Australia), this warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.
