How to Start a Claim

Contact Sabrent Technical Support before returning any product. Many issues can be resolved remotely without the need for a return.

  • Get authorized: If troubleshooting doesn't resolve it, we'll issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number with clear next steps.
  • Ship it to us: Send your product to our service center using a trackable shipping method — we'll take it from there.
  • We'll fix or replace it: Sabrent will replace the defective item with a functionally equivalent product (which may be new or refurbished to meet Sabrent specifications). Your replacement ships back with transportation prepaid.
  • Back up your data first: Before sending your product for warranty service, back up any data stored on the device. Sabrent is not responsible for data loss during the replacement process.
  • No defect found? If our team inspects the returned product and finds no defect, the product will be returned to you and the warranty claim will be closed. Shipping costs for no-defect returns are the customer's responsibility.

Terms & Conditions
Scope of Coverage

This warranty is granted exclusively to the original purchaser of a new Sabrent product purchased from an authorized reseller. It is non-transferable to subsequent owners.

Coverage applies only to products purchased through official channels. Products purchased from unauthorized liquidators, auction sites, or third-party marketplace sellers are sold "as-is" and are not covered.

This warranty applies to products used for normal, personal, or home-office applications and does not cover products used for industrial, mining, or high-intensity commercial purposes.

SSD-Specific Endurance Clause (TBW)

For Solid State Drive (SSD) products, the warranty period expires either at the end of the stated time period or when the drive exceeds its rated Total Bytes Written (TBW) threshold, as defined in the product specifications, whichever occurs first.

What is NOT Covered
  • Data Loss: Sabrent is not responsible for any data loss. You are responsible for maintaining regular backups on separate media.
  • Abuse or Environmental Damage: Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, neglect, tampering, or unsuitable physical/operating environments (including power surges or thermal damage).
  • Unauthorized Modifications: Any product with removed or altered identification labels (serial numbers) or hardware/software modified or repaired by unauthorized parties.
  • Third-party compatibility issues: Failures caused by products or software for which Sabrent is not responsible.
Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sabrent shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages — including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, or downtime — arising from the use or failure of a Sabrent product, even if Sabrent has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Statutory & Regional Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by state, province, or country. For consumers in regions with mandatory consumer protection laws (such as the EU, UK, or Australia), this warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.
