If I plug this into a 2.0 USB port on my CPU, will I still get the benefit of USB 3.0 speeds?

No. The USB devices can not communicate among themselves on this adapter. All communication goes through the host computer. Therefore, a pair of 3.0 devices sharing a hub attached to a 2.0 computer will communicate at USB 2.0 speeds.

I have 2 external hard drives: one is 500 GB, one is 2 TB, and both have their own power cords. Will they work with this hub?

Yes, they will.

How long is the integrated USB cable?

This hub has a 10" USB cable.
