Quality memory. Register within 90 days for 5 Yr warranty

IMPORTANT: Registration at Sabrent website within 90 days of purchase extends warranty from 1 year (default) to 5 years, as of when I'm writing this review. Don't forget to register to massively extend your coverage (I've had memory from other vendors start to give errors after years of use that were RMA'ed).I have a Lenovo T480 laptop with 2 memory slots. It does top out at 2400 MT/s due to the laptop's chipset and CPU not overclocking memory, so the lower end of the JEDEC scale is what is important for me (see the CPU-Z export screenshot that shows all 15 JEDEC entries in the memory).I had no problem installing the memory and you'll see screenshot info of the timings I experienced in my particular laptop. I ran HCI memtest scan and had no problems with the kit. The writeup on Amazon talks about a copper heat spreader, which confused me at first, but it's really talking about the wrap-around label that has a copper film embedded in it. I'm not sure the label is a big influence on temperatures, but my laptop runs this 2x8GB / 16GB kit pretty gently anyways. These 8GB sticks are configured with 4 chips on each side of the SODIMM and are single rank (in my laptop that runs 1 dimm per channel). The current price of this kit of 2x8gb in the mid-$80 range is a bit steep for CL22 3200 MH/s. The memory market fluctuates and prices are currently down a bit from this point. I've enjoyed several Sabrent m.2 drives for years and believe they make quality products, but am not sure if their laptop memory is that premium.

Easy to use, 16Gb, Matched pair

Super easy to use, Matched pair of ram, 16gb worked perfect in my windows machine. no issues, stable, and good pricing, comes with thin heat spreader.

Excellent DRAM

The SABRENT Rocket 32GB DDR4 SO-DIMM 3200MHz Memory Module model SB-DDR32 is excellent. I received it very well packaged as you can see in the attached pictures.I installed it in my DELL Latitude 14 and it worked without issues. My computer only supports DD4 2133MHz so unfortunately I will not be able to take full advantage of this DRAM 3200MHz speed. Even not using the full memory speed, the laptop performance now is incredible faster compared to its original 8GB DRAM. This memory deserves the 5 stars, I definitely recommend it 👌.

Nice dual rank memory sticks, but not the best bang for your buck...

These are dual rank sticks. Popped them in my mini PC, and everything is working fine. I like their packaging too because you can save the old ram in them. However, this isn't the best bang for your buck. I recently purchased 32GB (2 dual rank sticks) by Timetec for around $100. So unless you're a Sabrent fan, there are better deals out there. I'll go 4-Stars.

works on my ASUS GL552VW

Had an ASUS laptop with default 8*2GB RAM, and I went for an upgrade. I used the 32 GB in conjunction with the 16 GB RAM, both Sabrent. After the fact, my laptop has 48 GB RAM.At the time, the published maximum allowable ram on this laptop is 32 GB. Old computers ARE able to support these larger capacity RAM sticks. You don't get the best performance mixing different sizes like I did, and older laptops also cannot use the full speed of faster RAM sticks, BUT they'll still work as long as your motherboard takes DDR4 RAM. And you could always take them out and put them on a newer laptop down the line.

High-quality RAM in great packaging

I'm really impressed with this RAM! I got it to max out my current laptop with the intention of moving it to a new one once I decide to upgrade. It installed easilty and runs flawlessly. I have absolutely no complaints at all about the quality of the RAM, both physically or in terms of function.Sabrent really impressed me with their packaging though. This is the most well-packaged RAM I've ever received. Each stick is in its own magnetically-closing package, nestled in a perfectly sized cutout of dense foam. I would have no concerns about shipping damage if ordering from this company again. This RAM is slightly pricier than other brands, but it is also fast, well-packaged, and very well constructed with a copper cooling sleeve. I'm really impressed with Sabrent, and I'll be looking to them for any RAM I need in the future.

Works for ROG Strix G731

I used the 16GB * 2 to upgrade my ROG Strix G731 Laptop. The installation is pretty easy as long as you are familiar with the RAM upgrade. If you are not, there are millions of videos online and you can always trust the user manual of your laptop. There is a limitation of the 2666 mhz on my bios and i'm still researching on if it is changeable.

Some impressive memory sticks

I needed to upgrade my new 2022 Dell XPS laptop with some higher speed memory. These sticks from Sabrent fit the bill perfectly with it's 3200MHz speed memory. Using these sticks I am getting the best memory speed possible with this laptop. The sticks have some little, I believe copper, covers that I guess help to dissipate the heat a bit. Now I don't really know if it's really doing anything as I wasn't have a big problem with thermal throttling before using the memory and I'm not having any of those heat issues after installing the new memory sticks. All in all I would say these are some high quality memory sticks and I would have no problem with recommending them.

Works well but reads at 2933MHz in my machine

Edit: I purchased a two stick 32GB kit of this same RAM and have a couple of observations. The heatsink and paper covering make the RAM more bulky. Next to a stick of RAM without a heatsink, there's plenty of room but there is decidedly less room when you have two of these Sabrent sticks side by side. They still fit in my mini PC but if you're in a think laptop, you might be less lucky.Otherwise, everything is as before. It worked on the first try and is a fantastic upgrade. Sabrent is definitely added to my list of RAM makers that I trust and like. This RAM is nicely packaged (with no plastic blister pack), is easy to install, and just works. The heat sink is nice to have but the paper covering could be better applied. On the flip side, once it's inside your machine - you never really see your RAM again so it's not a big deal. Windows recognized the RAM right away.My only potential quibble is that this RAM, even when it was the only stick in my machine, was recognized as 2933 MHz RAM instead of 3200MHZ RAM. My other stick in my computer is 2933 MHz so it's not a big deal for me. I also didn't dig into the BIOS to see if I need to enable XMP overclocking or anything like that. I'd rather have stability than performance in the machine I'm using this RAM in.All in all, this is exactly what I expected in a stick of DDR4 RAM.

Bit overpriced, but still pretty good ram (Updated)

Update: so I previously reviewed the single pack of 16GB, and I guess my review I was going to write for the 2x16GB got merged into this one, so at the bottom you'll see an update section giving some comments about the 2x16GB kit.Disclaimer, I reviewed this alongside the 8GB version of this RAM, and the major difference between the 2 is that the 8GB is single-rank, while this 16GB is dual-rank.Packaging is pretty nice, it feels slightly more excessive than the typical plastic case but it doesn't feel heavy, is very compact, and probably much more protective. The RAM itself looks great, the modules are wrapped around this metal Sabrent-branded heat spreader. It's one of the nicer looking sodimms out there. In terms of performance I referenced it against the GSkill ram in my Dell XPS 17 9710. I tested these on a HP Victus 16. There doesn't seem to be many differences apart from this being dual-rank and it supporting less DRAM timings. The both use Samsung modules (my screenshot w/ Thaiphoon Burner has the exact module numbers). This is your typical 3200mhz CL22 1.2V DDR4 sodimm, and since Sabrent didn't put any XMP profiles I expect compatibility to not be an issue. The main problem I have with this is the price. At the time of review it's $75. You can spend <$100 and get 2x16GB for a 32GB kit. Sure these look nice but that doesn't really matter when the RAM's going to be mostly inside a laptop. Apart from the price, these seems great and feels quite premium, although typically with RAM you don't have to go too fancy, especially on laptops.Part 2 update section for 2x16GB kit:So I recently acquired a new X1 Extreme Gen 4 (very nice laptop, although wouldn't recommend for everyone), and the RAM needed an upgrade, and I managed to get a review 2x16GB pack, for a nice 32GB of RAM. The comment I was going to make is that this Sabrent kit is more comparable to the Crucial CT2K16G4SFRA32A that you can get on Amazon, they're even comparable in price (at the time of the review for the 2x16GB). They seem to have identical latency performance and they're both dual rank according to Thaiphoon Burner, but the main difference being, just like the GSkill kit, the Sabrent kit seems to support less timings. For example the Crucial has a worst-timing of [****] for 3200mhz, while the Sabrent has a worst-timing of [****]; The Crucial has 6 timing specs for 3200mhz, while the Sabrent only has 3. I don't see this being an issue, although it feels weird to know that this isn't a general standard. The fact that this RAM is dual-rank may be a distinguishing factor from say, the GSkill kit. Even though this, the GSkill, and the Crucial kits all use 8Gb modules, having dual rank may impact performance. I know for sure on Ryzen desktop that having dual-rank vs single-rank gives a statistically significant performance increase, but I'm not sure if that's the case on AMD and Intel's mobile platforms, where the conversation seems to be limited to 16Gb vs 8Gb modules instead. I was able to find 1 video where I think an i7-1165G7 was able to push slightly higher framerates on its integrated graphics while gaming, but I'm not sure if that's a translatable performance increase across all platforms (architectural differences between CPUs means that this kind of stuff may impact one architecture more than another). So overall, I still hold my ground on the price of these things. They're a bit expensive, but on the other hand these are gorgeous memory modules.

Seems like a good deal for the price...

First impressions, it's a good looking stick of memory. Not that, that matters, just saying. Packed well with foam to protect it. Of course it was easy to install. Stuck it in a mini PC I have and the P booted up and works just as it should. Seems to be speedy memory. Couldn't be happier. While this one works great, I also reviewed their 16 GB module and that did not work. Another reviewer here said their 8 GB module did not work. So seems, this brand might be hit and miss? Not talking trash, just thought I should give my experience with more than one of their memory sticks. This one works great, price is fair, would recommend.

Great looking RAM, slightly high pricing

Disclaimer, I reviewed this alongside the 16GB version, the reviews will be very similar. The main difference between these and the 16GB is the 8GB version are single-rank, while the 16GB version are dual-rank. This is more of a thing on Ryzen Desktop, it is possible that it may impact performance but on mobile chips I do believe the difference isn't a thing. These 8GB do use the better 8Gbit memory chips so these are a viable upgrade. The packaging is very nicely done, feels a bit wasteful but it's very light, compact, and probably protect better than the typical plastic casing. I did compare these against a kit of 2x8GB GSkill Ripjaws, and the only main difference is that the Sabrent supports less timings (the Sabrent still follows the main JEDEC timings). Sabrent didn't put any XMP profiles so I would expect compatibility to not be an issue. The main problem with these is the price. These were $45 at the time of the review. Around $60 you can git a 16GB 2x8GB kit, which makes these pretty expensive RAM. The heat spreader around the RAM makes these look quite nice, but how good memory looks doesn't really matter when it's going to be inside a laptop.

Huge upgrade for my HP Omen 15!

Currently using this to upgrade my Ryzen-powered HP Omen 15. For most consumers, this is beyond the needs, but for those in content creation, this is the sweet spot. Having 32GB of RAM is great for editing longer video files, editing large-format photos, streaming in OBS, writing large orchestral scores in a DAW, and just being more comfortable when running a bunch of applications. Never thought the day would come that I personally need more than 32GB of RAM, but this is a nice stick to add to a laptop that allows DDR4 at 3200MHz. This definitely removed the feeling of being bottlenecked! Fines fine on my end, but just be sure to double-check that it is compatible with your system before getting one. Happy creating and cheers!
