There's a chance that the monitor and two computers might not play well.
My question is- could I still use this as a keyboard/mouse switch? I currently run individual connections to the monitor and let it auto-switch.
The two machines are Mac Mini Pro M4 (hdmi or usb c/tbolt) and gaming rig with Zotac 4070 GPU (displayport and hdmi)
Connecting the 4070 would need an adapter to connect to the KVM.
@Ballstone The monitor output works by pulling DP Alt Mode from the source PCs. This means that going from the 4070 to one of those ports is unidirectional (video output only). So you would use a separate switch for the monitor and the KVM for keyboard/mouse switching.
@Sabrent When one computer is off, my monitor switches to the one with the active keyboard/mouse. So I think your switch will work okay if I don't plug anything in the topc1, topc2 ports. Just wanted to be sure.
Thank you
