For context, a few of us on Reddit have been tracking a very specific micro-stuttering issue when asset-streaming in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Forspoken on Windows 11. The drive performs flawlessly in raw synthetic benchmarks, but during heavy DirectStorage I/O requests, there’s a momentary frame-time spike every few minutes.
Can anyone from the engineering team confirm if this new rollout addresses the queue-depth handling for those asset-streaming spikes, or is this patch strictly focused on standard thermal throttling thresholds?
