Do I need to initialize the target SSD before cloning?
Also, I'm not ready to remove source SSD from computer. So I do not wish to do an offline cloning. What are the steps to clone a new SAD while source is still in the computer.
Source: 1TB m.2 SSD
Target: 2TB m.2 SSD
@george.dominguez7 Software cloning can be done with Acronis or similar software. The destination/target SSD should be initialized for easier understanding of source/target designations. A clone relies on picking the proper source drive and the proper destination, where the latter is of sufficient size to contain the data of the former. Acronis has some helpful guides on this and it should be covered in detail at various places around the web.
