Setup:
2026 Apple display
Macbook pro m1 MAX 2021
Desktop windows pc with Asus ThunderboltEX 4 card
First time I connected, it was working. Then it stopped and doesnt awake the Apple display anymore. Doesnt matter the order in which I connect the cables, just doesnt work.
And yes, the display is working when I connect it directly to the macbook or to the pc.
Help please!
Yeah, this seems like a common issue with Thunderbolt KVMs and Apple displays. It’s probably more of a macOS/compatibility thing than your setup.
You could try disabling sleep, power cycling the display after switching, or checking for firmware updates. Still kinda hit-or-miss unfortunately—hope you find a solid fix!
Does anyone know if this WILL work if you use a thunderbolt 4 port on the Windows PC as well as the Mac? As that is what I would like to do.
