Hello,
I am in the process of returning this SSD to Sabrent. I was wanting to use the SSD in my PS5 and the system was not recognizing the card. Tried settings and reinstallation with no luck. Is this SSD compatible with the PS5? Never really specified on Sabrent.com. Agent I spoke to about this never gave me an answer about compatibility. Wasn't able to test the SSD on another platform as every computer in my house is an Apple. Curious about this so I can either order another in the instance the SSD was faulty. Or just try another SSD..
@Ryan Rayna The Rocket 4 Plus-G should be compatible with the PS5. It might be possible to test the drive with an enclosure like our EC-SNVE in the future.
Upgraded my PS5 storage last month with a 4TB drive after the built-in filled up fast from all the big titles. Went with the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus-G hoping for smooth install since it's PCIe 4.0, but had to double-check heatsink fit and format steps carefully—worked fine once I got it seated right and ran the console's test. Loads games noticeably quicker now. While comparing cable options for better speeds, skimmed some xfinity reviews for home internet tweaks that help with downloads. Reliable performer so far; glad I went bigger capacity.
