2.5-Inch SATA to USB 3.0 Enclosure

Terrific product! Worked as described with my older SATA drive. Just inserted inside the casing and it worked immediately, no set up needed.

I've purchased two so far. No problems. No fuss. Easy tool less design. I will purchase more as I swap out my Hard Drives and replace them with SSD's. This is a nice way to use your old drive as a backup drive.

I had a similar device before but this one is much easier to use. So easy, no tools needed, no hassle.

I love this enclosure plain an simple. Work's with HDD And SSD laptop size drive for the price I can't complain I highly recommend this drive enclosure.

Yes, I am happy with this item. My new sata drive fit into it.It works as advertised with a little bonus, has a blue light which tells me when the disc is being accessed or is in work. l have not seen this feature on a drive (at this cost) enclosure unless it has an electrical plug. This does not have an electrical plug and plugs in to the usb port 2.0-3.1.I am satisfied with this product and would purchase it again if I needed to.

In our case we had removed them to replace with solid state drives. For small fee we get a backup hard drive

We have used this enclosure with a 500MB Hitachi HDD, and with 500MB WD Blue SSD.Works fine as external storage with either drive on Mac and Raspberry Pi 3B+.Boots the Raspberry Pi 3B+ (USB2) using the SSD AND with the HDD. Not every enclosure does.Disappointed that the external drive speed, connected directly to a USB3 port on the 2012 Mac Mini, was only around 42 MB/s both with HDD (expected, 5400 rpm) AND with the WD SSD.Other external HDD units do about 100 MB/s on these ports.

After a year of daily use - works like it should - no problems and - it is not fragile, we have dropped it onto the carpeted floor several times and it still works great.I gave tech support 5 stars - only because they made it well enough - that we did not need them! (the best kind of tech support out there!)

Top was a little irritating to get off and on. But the enclosure works perfectly on a old laptop 1TB 2.5" hard drive. Worked perfectly to retrieve the data I needed and now have a extra portable storage drive.

I've been very pleased with my purchase. I have been able to repurpose drives from bad/condemned laptops into backup drives for users. The Sabrent case has a power switch which comes in handy for most users. The case is sturdy and the drive doesn't rattle around inside it. The ones I have used are still working quite well for me and for the people I have given them. They stand up pretty well to drops as well.

 There’s a fine enclosure for a small SATA drive. It works fine. It’s really easy to assemble and is transparent which is kind of cool. Does what you would expect.

I've purchased around six of these Sabrent 2.5" SATA HD enclosures. Perfect solution when helping family who get new computers / laptops. Some family were about to take the PC to a PC shop and pay $$ to transfer data. I convinced them to just remove the HD from old PC (given they had 2.5" SATA drives) and put it in this enclosure. They now have an external storage drive that contains the exact contents of their old PC. They can copy over files at their leisure. Once they finally have everything copied over they can format the old drive and use it, along with this enclosure as a backup drive for their new system. The data transfer is VERY fast (USB 3.0 speeds). Very happy with Sabrent!

I bought two of these devices to hold two different SSD and the cover is needlessly difficult to open and close

Case separates w/ clever slide and lift (no screws) I have been using my first one for 3 years. I need another for new TB SSD. I have 4 different brands of external hdd cases (past 15 years), these are my favorite. When laptop says ...safe to remove... just flick the on/off switch. That way I can leave USB plugged in,on my desk. P.S. I can't comment on Tech Support. I never contacted before. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2021... Bill M.

I put a Samsung QVO 870 4tb SSD in a Sabrent clear 3.0 and the SATA connection failed only after 2 months of use. I lost EVERYTHING on the drive. Luckily, I switched it over to the black case I already had for my 2tb enclosure and the system found the 4tb drive again.. For a $10 enclosure, I am not going to cry to tech support over this. for a $390 4tb SSD... I will raise unGodly hell for an SSD to fail only 2 months out of the box.
