Product Features

USB To Dual Display

The Sabrent USB Type-C/A to Dual HDMI Adapter lives up to its title: it converts a USB port to dual HDMI ports for seamless video output. Add more display real estate to your system of choice with minimal fuss.

Type-A or Type-C

No matter the system of the port, this adapter will work. It’s natively Type-C with a Type-A adapter attached to work with a variety of devices. Host systems lacking DisplayPort Alternate Mode support can use DisplayLink instead.

Display It

The adapter supports single and dual external display configurations with output up to 4K@60Hz. This includes stereo/5.1 audio and HDCP 1.4/2.3 support for digital content. MST is required for full extended mode support with Alt Mode.

Portable Play

For those cases where you need extra display on the go, this adapter is just the thing. The aluminum alloy casing ensures lightweight carry with superior durability and heat dissipation, and the integrated cable stays with the adapter.

Vivid Viewing Experience

Simply and easily add more display real estate to any device with the Sabrent USB Type-C/A to Dual HDMI Adapter. This adapter is designed to natively use Type-C with the DisplayPort Alternate Mode feature but, when using the attached Type-A adapter and software, it can achieve similar results for legacy systems and ports as well. It’s the perfect accessory for your computing kit, and makes a great companion for travel with its lightweight, integrated design. Aluminum alloy casing improves adapter durability and helps dissipate heat during extended operation, no matter where you happen to be. There’s no need to carry around a bunch of accessories when you can just grab your Sabrent Adapter.

Add one or more displays at up to 4K@60Hz for a flexible, vivid viewing experience. Stereo and 5.1 audio are supported, and your digital content utilizing HDCP 1.4/2.3 will display without a hitch. Enjoy mirrored and extended modes - the latter requiring MST support when using Alt Mode over Type-C - to improve productivity or put content on the big screen. This works great even with older PCs thanks to DisplayLink, using Windows 7 and macOS 10.2 and up as well as Linux, and even Android and ChromeOS devices without Alt Mode support can enjoy output flexibility. Macs and Apple hardware that lack MST support can now enjoy extended mode, too! Both options are in just one device.

What is the best way to get the most out of this adapter?

It’s important to use high-quality, HDMI 2.0+ cables for the maximum resolution and best performance. External displays should be designed for 4K@60Hz to provide ideal output. DisplayPort Alternate Mode should be used on systems with such support over the DisplayLink driver when possible. The driver can add performance overhead to the host system. With Alternate Mode, host systems supporting only DP Alt 1.2 rather than 1.4 can only output up to 4K@30Hz for one or both displays.

How are the different modes and features supported?

HDMI is capable of delivering audio, 2-channel stereo or 5.1, as well as passing encrypted digital content via the HDCP 1.4/2.3 standards. Multiple display output and display output features require MST mode support, so verify host system capabilities first before beginning setup.

What devices are supported?

Devices with DisplayPort Alternate Mode feature support can use the adapter normally, as described in more detail above. Devices requiring a driver will require extra setup. DisplayLink has driver support for Windows 7+, macOS 10.2+, Linux, Android, and ChromeOS.

What type of care and precaution is needed when using this adapter?

The adapter should not be used in extremely humid or extremely dry environments. The adapter should only be operated in areas between 0° and 40°C. The adapter should not be used around liquids of any sort. Lastly, care should be taken when plugging or unplugging the integrated cable. To avoid unnecessary wear, the cable should not be bent or made to bear high amounts of weight when plugged in or being used.
