USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station

I'm LOOOOVIN' IT! I have about 40 or 50 750g~2TB bare drives. Condensing many of them to 8TB to a few external 8 or 12TB. Been smoooth sailing. THANK YOU Sabrent, you guys rock.

Windows finds the drive no problem. Works great with both 2.5" and 3.5" drives.

Perfect for me

I have enjoyed this case for the past year. It's been connected to a PS4 and a PS5 and it works well with both. The only problem I have is that the power cable eventually split apart and the copper wires got exposed. I am currently looking for a replacement power cable. It's still a good case but we all know cable don't last long.

I bought this fan-cooled dock to accommodate use of high capacity SSD drives.Initially, I was going to return this unit when an operational Western Digital Blue 3D NAND SSD drive installed in this unit could not be mounted on my MacBook Pro with USB 3.0 port running macOS Big Sur. Then I saw a post titled 'Big Sur - external discs not mounting' on Apple's developer forum. I installed the 3D NAND SDD back on my old Sabrient dual drive dock, ran Disk Utility>First Aid on the SSD drive, than re-tried mounting the SSD from this Lay-flat dock, and it worked! Tried several procedures detaching drive and remount and ti still works. Keeping my finger crossed for now.As to HDD cooling concern for users who used this Lay-flat dock, the unit shipped to me:1) has rubber feet that raise its bottom 4mm to 5mm often the desktop it's resting on2) the surface where my 2.5" SSD rest on when installed has four elevated ridges that rises 1+mm above the lower surface that is flush which is in turn about 0.5mm above the top grid of the fan. It appears that the fan is lowered about 1-2 mm below the bottom of the unit.

The Sabrent USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station Preformed Great I hooked the unit up (Easy Plug n Play) The first job was to format a New 4 TB SATA HD. Easy no Problems. Next I Transferred 1.2 TB of Data from my Computers SATA hard drive in about 12 min. While surfing the web. No noticeable performance drop to my web usage. New 4 TB hard drive stayed nice and cool.I felt this was a fair test and the Sabrent 3.0 Unit preformed flawlessly. I would recommend this unit to anyone that has a lot of DATA to move . 5 Stars *****

Really good for the price. Transfer is fast. Looks nice. Only minor issue is that the fan can be a little noisy. Have it on all the time is too loud for me. I turn it off when I finish transferring.

When you have old internal SATA hdd's and don't know what to do with them, turn them into backup drives. Plug in both the power and the USB and then your drive. Turn it on and away you go. Instant external backup.

I use this device with my Mac M1 Mini. It sits right on top and let's me swap between several different drives easily.

I bought this to hold a 4TB Seagate 3.5" HDD that already had data on it. I wanted to remove all the HDDs from my desktop, protect the drive somewhat, and be able to access the data for this drive and others at will.This product does most of those things well. It holds the drive and is easily set up and put away. Where this fell short was in plugging in a drive with existing data. The drive is not recognized and the data is not accessible without formatting the drive and losing the data. This isn't very evident in the product literature.If you want to start with a blank drive that must remain in this enclosure to be accessed, this is is a great product. the cables seem to be good quality and the power supply doesn't seem like it would burn a house down.If this docking station was able to work with existing data and not require formatting, I would have kept it.

The product will hold either a 2.5 or 3.5 inch drive. I'm using it with a 2.5 inch SSD right now and it works flawlessly. It's easy to put together, and everything I needed was included in the box.

I own 3 of these docking station 2 since 2018 never had a problem with them well priced to.

I like the idea but this didn't work for me. It didn't always work and the fan is loud.

I wanted to save the stuff from my old computer and add it to my new laptop while being able to toss all the hardware that would otherwise take up space from my old computer. With this station, I was able to do just that. Of course, it's better served if you have the long-term use necessary to keep accessing the same docs on the same hard drive, otherwise it may feel a bit like a waste of money once you've essentially "one and done" - ed it, but being able to move my documents and programs between computers was well worth the cost.

Despite some negative reviews, I decided to try this one and it worked well for me. I placed this on a flat surface and slid in the drive. Everything connected and worked as I expected. I've used it off and on for several months and had no problems.

It saves my old HDD disks, and also many photos.

Product arrived on time. Sabrent offers excellent products. I was looking for a portable storage device for my Seagate 4TB HHD, but this device doesn't allow it to be recognized by my PC. My PC couldn't "see" it in my list of storage devices. I tried Disc Manager but it only saw the Sabrent device not the HHD plugged into it. I tried almost everything but I had to shop for a different product. This product is mainly for backup storage and cloning where you can't access the storage.

Worked great as temporary access to removed hard drive. The case provides easy access to change hard drive, so very good for temporary use. Nothing locks the drive in place, so not good for permanent use of removed hard drive, which was my intent.

I recently purchased (2) of these items. For the price, these item met my expectations. The case is solid, but good use some slight upgrades. Ease of setup was extremely easy. So, overall, I gave this item 5 stars because of the price and ease of setup. No hassles or worries.

Recieved product on 10/5/21, product stopped working 11/3/21. Worked well when it worked. Refund or replacement not worth the hassel to me. Goning to try a different one and see how that goes.

Worked ok, obviously read/write speeds were slower than advertised. Dropped it once from my desk, about 3 feet, and the solder between the connector and board gave way. Not very durable, but did the job while it lasted.
