Seems to work fine; it's just an adapter, does what it needs to do
I had an HP laptop with a slow as molasses 5400 rpm hard drive which took FOREVER!I had a prior tablet/laptop that died but I saved the mSATA SSD.It was very easy to put the SSD in and test it out and do cleanup with the USB. Popped it into the HP laptop and works great! Vastly improved performance now!

I replaced the micrco SATA chip in a mini pc with a much larger capacity, but still needed to access the old one. This served my needs exactly, and now I can do whatever I want with it.It is as fast as directly hooking it up to a SATA port, because it is simple, just a connectorno special stuff.But it is not cheap plastic. It is metal and well made, and exactly as they advertise.Package comes with the proper screws to mount the chip and the housing together.No moving parts means that vibration will not do anything, and the low powerand high speed beats a conventional drive no contest.Machining is tight and it 'feel solid' but still lightweight.Will buy it again when I need another.

The msata to 2.5 inch enclosure is lightweight but yet sturdy. It separates in two parts: the top cover and the bottom cover. Plug the msata ssd into the msata connector and screw it in place, put the other cover on and screw them together (all screws included) and you have a 2.5 inch ssd drive. I put it into a USB 2.5 inch enclosure, connected it to a pc and it was recognized and read by windows explorer on the pc. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this msata to 2.5 inch enclosure by Sabrent.

This is the second Sabrent product I purchase. It worked as expected and I found it to be well made.It comes with the necessary screws to mount an mSATA drive inside (you do have to be careful with the screws, as some are rather small.The mSATA drive plugs in easily. The whole assembly then becomes the equivalent of a 2.5" drive.The unit is well made and feels solid.I'm pleased with the purchase.
Works well and to the point of being an invisible passthrough. (ie: OS identifies the SSD and not the conversion chipset).** - careful when opening. I think I may have lost (possibly later located) one of the internal screws when separating the enclosure halves- they were loose inside? There was something that happened but this is being written weeks after.
This adapter is working great and seamlessly bridges the gap in tech I encountered. Easy to put together and put into use. Only issue was with tiny screws and thats on me!
Works great and very affordable. I use it with another device to quickly flash operating system image files onto the msata drives to get things up and running fast and it has worked flawlessly so far.
it did the tricki installed the old drive i had in it , then installed it in an old laptopand now the laptop is using this old drive as it's boot driveno problems, i just think it's a little overpriced for what you get
I ordered two of these for old laptop drives that were going in a new desktop and they worked as if the drives were normal 2.5 inch sata drives.
had an old M-sata card from my Dell laptop.Now able to use it as boot drive in another computer.Very simple & easy to use & works great

Provided screws were perfectly sized. The circuits on the circuit board were well laid out and electrically superior to other units (like including capacitors to stabilize the electrical load). The only thing missing was a m.SATA thermal pad, but no other adapter includes them anyway. It's Sabrent. It's Quality.
I had an MSATA on the shelf not being used and got a new piece of equipment that needed a drive for. Instead of buying a new SSD I decided to get this adapter to see if I could make something I already had work for me now. This was very easy to install, set up, and put together. The quality of the material is strong and they provided a small screwdriver and screws for the installation. After installing the 2 screws to hold the MSATA down you add the 4 screws to the sides and are done. The entire process took me around 4 minutes. Incredibly easy. The housing is metal so it will be very sturdy since what I am using it for will be moving around a lot. If you have MSATA laying around that are not compatable with the newer boards this will get you going again.

I used this on mSATA drive from Surface PRO that was bent during a car accident and Microsoft not willing to take out the information from the laptop.Then replaced the drive on a different laptop and there was all the data. Great product!

The dual interface USB 3 and SATA make this a versatile and useful tool.My laptop died.It booted from the mSATA drive and I had no way of recovering. Ouch.When found this product I said "hallelujah, I'm saved!" And so I was.I got the dual-interface model so I could boot my new PC from it then I could clone it and use it in the future.
A very nice looking case and very sturdy too. It is well designed and constructed. USB adaptor works just fine (haven't tried the Sata connector yet). The card I was wanting to use was too long so I took a metal saw to the back and then bent the metal so the card fit. It didn't occur to me to check to see if the length of the case was long enough so I view that as a "my bad".
Overall quality is fine, but the USB port doesn't line up with the hole in the case, making it unusable. The circuit board is fixed in place with screws, so there's no way to adjust.I should return it, but I'll probably just grind the slot open wider.
Purchased with the Sabrent USB 3.x to SATA Cable. Was able to download Acronis OEM for Sabrent and image existing 7 year old WD Hybrid drive to new mSATA media and install into laptop. Flawless operation. Very Pleased.

Construction and assembly method are great. Product allows an mSATA storage unit to be utilized in an application not originally designed for mSATA storage.
My Samsung 850 EVO worked great. Until last week iT killed my ssd. All data gone forever.
I Bought this to mount a Three Colour Dogfish SSD mSATA 64GB Drive in. Fit Perfectly in the Enclosure, and they included the mounting screws also (The add doesn't show them).
