Nice in that it replaces the top cover and fits the slot perfectly to allow air flow, that works with the Sony air flow system. As someone else pointed out depending on the length of the SSD you have the thermal pad on the bottom of the heat stick might not be long enough and you would need a different thermal pad.What concerns me is that I did not see this step in the manual and nobody has mentioned it here… There is a clear plastic protector sheet on the underside of the thermal pad ( not the side thats attached to the heatsink . This is supposed to be peeled off so that the thermal material has direct contact with the SSD. If not, you are cutting down how much heat gets transferred. I tried to take a picture of the little plastic sheet after I removed it ,leaning against my controller here. Do it carefully as to not ding up the thermal pad.

I got a chinese no name one. Broken/ bent on arrival. This one came in better packing and easier to install. One part, not sticky tape strips and nonsense extra screws. I recommend using a ifixit screw driver size 1 over the one sent. Fits great and I took it out after I mounted it and you could see the pad had imprints meaning it sat flush against the m.2 drive for greater cooling

The best what you need for your PS5

This installs very easily, with the trickiest part being getting the cover off (which is super easy). The heat sink is well designed, and provides a cooling advantage over standard installs (directs heat out of the case). Additionally, it provides a touch of the "cool factor" for those of you that intend to install a clear set of covers on your system, because the heat sink design would be visible.

Works as expected!

I just installed the SSD + Heatsink and literally took less than 3 minutes. Once I booted up the PS5, It formatted the new SSD with zero issues, and I moved all almost 500gb of games from my PS5 internal SSD to the new Rocket 4 SSD and it took less than 5 minutes, Thats crazy fast.So far its awesome!!

Works as advertised and the extra 1TB makes a huge difference in game management. Very easy to install. The hardest part is getting the side plate off of the PS5. Check you tube as there are multiple video walk throughs for instillation. Pricey, but makes a huge difference compared to the stock SSD and it’s 1TB (actually around 600gb) of storage. You get a full 1TB of storage with this addition. So your PS5 will now have 1.6TB of available storage.

I share a console with my wife, and it gets frustrating when neither of us can have a game ready to go when we want. You gotta delete so much to download so much. By the time you're ready, you're done.I am now able to have anything either of us would like to play in the near future in storage, updated, and ready to go without effort.It is true convenience

I like that this product has excellent reviews, and it was easy to install. I came with a screwdriver for those who do not have one. I would recommend this heat sink since it was specially made for the PS5.

First one I ordered was a dud, neither PS5 or Windows PC could detect it. Replacement works fine.I doubt the heat sink is truly brand new, it's got obvious signs of use, but I don't care - it's a chunk of metal with a thermal pad, hidden away behind the plastic cover plate.Install was super easy. Make sure to watch a video first. You could easily miss a critical step with a spacer, or even have a hard time slotting the drive in.Speeds are comparable to the standard on-board SSD of the PS5, read speeds of my sample were around 6,000mb/s per the post format speed report.$170 for 1TB is absurd IMO, but what can you do? Over time these should get cheaper. Also, to my pleasant surprise, the console reads this nvme as a full 1tb, I was fully expecting 931gb.You'll want to expand the storage of your PS5, SSD's have limited write cycles, so you don't want to delete games very often, and the PS5 has an on-board SSD that can not be easily replaced.Make sure to register with Sabrent to get the 5 year warranty, 1 year is the standard.

I’ve had it for a few days and it’s already had an exponential effect on my gaming experience..the easiest and best add to a game console since the USB..prep, plug and go..

Everything came as advertised. Took about 10 minutes to install.

Quick install and the packaging it came in is very nice. It’s fast, I was surprised on how quickly I was able to move 40+ gig games onto it. Six in total took less than 3 min to move.

Actually this is my second heatsink I bought for my ps5,s expansion ssd.This one more expensive but it's good quality product and slightly better performance so if someone thinks about purchasing this is one of the best heatsink on the amazon to buy right now but again it cost a bit more than cheaper some.My option is any ways it worth this price and I can recommend it.

Muy facil de montar y mucho mejor poner este disipador que hace de tapa también y asi el calor sale al exterior, no como poner otro disipador mas pequeño y luego taparlo con la tapa que viene de serie para que se acumule el calor.

I know almost nothing about ssds and heatsinks, save that I needed them both. After some looking around this one had great reviews and other people were using it exactly like I was (for PS5 with a Samsung 980 Pro 2tb ssd). I was nervous about breaking something, but the instructions were super straightforward, and I'm PRETTY SURE I've done it right. The only thing is that there's no adhesive on the thermal pads, which my limited research shows is usually the case, and it's hard to tell whether or not it's fully in contact with the drive. It seems to be fine though, especially for the price I paid. Will update if everything explodes or melts.

Der Kühler ist sehr einfach zu verbauen . Das Wärmeleitpad ist bereits auf dem Kühlkörper aufgeklebt , nur Folie abziehen und auf den Speicher setzen . Passt genau in die PlayStation! Bisher alles top!

Excellent quility heatsink.

I purchased this particular heat sink for my PS5; based upon videos on YouTube, that show off the Sabrent working with a PS5; and the actual heat distribution tests. Sure there are more expensive options on the market; but you don't need to spend extra for overkill.

Heatsink isn’t just a cover, there’s substantial contact to the SSD to dissipate heat. Samsung 980 Pro was installed, and no issue. Better and cheaper than those “2-in-1” ssd combos. Also takes the guess work from wondering if it’ll fit. Any PCI-e gen 4 will work with proper read/write speed verification. Don’t forget to remove the thermal film prior to applying. Again, to recap, the marketing materials make it seem like it’s just a metal cover, but it’s not - it’s a metal cover with thermal shrouds and film to help any 3rd party SSD dispute the heat. Finally, any form of heatsink is mandatory to install. With no heatsink, the PS5 will definitely produce an error message stating the SSD needs to cool down.
