I’ve been using a SanDisk Extreme Pro UHS-I (rated for 95 MB/s) prior to this card. My old card recently started showing signs it might be failing. I ordered this Sabrent card as a replacement and I am getting similar read/write speeds (90 MB/s) unfortunately. It seems I won’t be able to get the benefit of this newer card’s increased bandwidth when transferring large files to my PC unless I upgrade my SDXC card reader. Keep in mind the reader you use may limit your transfer speed, because a lot of SDXC card readers out there won’t fully support UHS-II speeds. You need to look for SDXC readers specifically marketed for full UHS-II compatibility (i.e., end card readers) to support 280 MB/s (or higher with full duplex). I tested this card on three different readers including a 10 Gbps dock and unfortunately they were all UHS-I SDXC card readers.I don’t have any complaints; the card is working fine for me and I’m not getting any noticeable lag for my uses. I think for the majority of people (myself included if I were shopping at retail) the price premium going from UHS-I to UHS-II probably isn’t really worth it from a cost benefit analysis. Unless you’re working with high resolution videos and/or rapid stills, you’re probably just as well off with a UHS-I card for much less money. That being said, this card performs just find and I encountered no issues.
This is an excellent memory card. It is very fast so it's perfect for video and action photography. The card also comes with a durable metal case that will protect the card when not in use. This memory card is an excellent choice that will ensure you have plenty of quality storage space.
This Sabrent rocket SD card is rated v90 for sustained minimum 90 MB/s write speeds. As a result, it is a very good choice for high-end video applications and other demanding tasks. It comes in a small aluminum box. Be sure you camera supports UHS-II and that your tasks require v90 and won't be satisfied with a more affordable card before you shell out for one of these.
Got this to record more 4K footage on both my 5D IV and R5 cameras. It holds up great, and not one instance of stoppage while recording. On my integrated SD card reader on my HP Omen 15, I am getting mid-90s MB/s and high-80s MB/s for read and write speeds, respectively. On my Thunderbolt 3 docking station with an SD card reader, I am getting blazing speeds of 295 MB/s and 179 MB/s for read and write speeds, respectively. This card is QUICK. For speeds and reliability, I would definitely go with this card without hesitation.
The SABRENT Rocket v90 256GB SD UHS-II is a Memory Card that actually has it's rated memory...It not only has the amount of memory it is rated to have it actually has even more... WOW...A memory card that is what it says it is and does what it says it can do... Wow...Looks good, feels good and did I mention it actually has the amount of memory it is rated to have and even has more and not less?P.S. I do wish the carry case was a little bit better but having said that it is overall o.k. I just wish it was a little bit better, not held together by a sticker.Overall though both of my thumbs are up and really high up on this review!Good day & God Bless...Randall M. RueffK9RMR
