I have had many tripods over the years, and this is by far the best. It is very high quality and easy to achieve almost any angle. It is very lightweight and has bonus features, like the built in level and foam grips.
This tripod is amazing. It's build with very heavy duty material and has a wide variety of features to get that perfect angle and position. The swivel works great and smoothly. Camera locks in well and each function of the tripod works perfectly as expected. It's a great replacement for my Amazon Basics model that broke when adjusting the height level handle/crank.
If you are looking for an affordable tripod with premium features for easy video, you will want to take a look at the Sabrent TP-AL65.You get a lot of features and quality for a budget price. The tripod will extend to 65 inches and not only are the legs smooth and easy to adjust, but it feels very sturdy. Never once did I feel an unsteady wobble or like it would tip over. You also get a 360 degree rotation which provides a new dynamic to your videos. Having the level bubble is just a another plus. Often you can set up a shot that looks good but when you go back to the final edit, you can see that the tilt to the camera was off more than it seemed. The level pretty much assures a good shot each time.I truly recommend this tripod for those who like to v'log, especially on location. It is easy to set up, sturdy, portable and high affordable. You get a lot of bang for the buck with the TP-AL65.
As an amateur photographer, I couldn’t justify spending much on a better tripod, so I was thrilled to receive this Sabrent model. It’s big. I love no longer having to use different sorts of lifts to adjust the height. My new Sabrent stretches up to 65 inches tall. Folded, it’s barely two feet high. What’s amazing, despite its size, is that it is made of aluminum and weighs less than my short, old, hand-me-down tripod. Impressive to me is that It is so much more flexible. I’m able to turn the camera mount fully around. It’s very easy to position and my camera locks down securely. The bubble level is a bonus, adding to the ease of making adjustments. I’ve not used a tripod much because my old one was a bear to wrestle into position. Since receiving this Sabrent, I’ve found it easy to use and feel comfortable leaving my camera attached while moving it around. With the camera off, the tripod folds down to snugly fit an included case. Together, case and tripod can’t weigh much more than five pounds, if that. I love it and can easily recommend it to anyone looking for a bona fide tripod with many features.
This is a very good entry level tripod. It is made of lightweight aluminum, weighing 6 pounds when fully assembled. It comes in a nice padded carrying bag, along with a detechable shoulder strap. It is compact when folded up (26 inches) and can reach a maximum height of 65 inches. There are two adjustments on each leg, and they are easy to operate quickly. It is very sturdy, so would be good on all types of terrain. There are 3 different leveling bubbles to help you get your shot straight. The ball head is excellent and moves smoothly. I found the adjusting knobs to be a bit confusing at first, but with practice I learned to make adjustments quickly. Overall a very good tripod for the price.
This tripod is much better than I expected for the price. It is fairly heavy duty, legs are sturdy even at full extension and I don't feeI that I have to worry that the tripod will fall over with my DSLR and a longer lens attached. It is easily adjusted. But it is heavier than my other, more compact tripods, not something I would want to carry long distances. Great for my tripod-mountable compact telescope!
I shoot a ton of videos for Youtube. I wanted a new tripod for outdoor activities to keep in my car. The tripod needed to be tall as I have a few manfrotto 394pqs and they are just a few inches too short for me.In the box you will find the tripod as well as a bag to carry this unit. What I like about this tripod:1. the frame is aluminum2. This tripod is tall and can get a camera right into the height of my noseWhat I do not like about this tripod1. You will get your fingers caught in clamps for the legs if you are not careful2. I could not find a extra plate if the one that comes with this tripod gets lost - I even called sabrent and left a message asking about another plate and never received a call backOverall for the money this would be a good tripod for someone who i filming indoors or outdoors.
On first take, the Sabrent 65 inch aluminum tripod with 360 degree full motion camera mount is impressive. It's solid, not too heavy at 5 pounds, and has multiple levels and adjustments for full control of camera position. The ball mount and pivot are nicely-machined aluminum, and can pivot 90 degrees, in addition to the full 360 degree rotation. But on closer look, and after just a few uses, I get the impression that this tripod is more "show" than durable. The finishes are mostly *painted* with many layers - you can see the paint already start to scratch away at the top of the leg pivots. This doesn't bode well for long-term durability. And then there are the *supposed* features that don't actually exist. One photo in the product listing shows the ability to reverse the mount under the tripod for low-angle shots. I'm an engineer and I can't for the life of me figure out how that would be possible without taking this apart piece by piece. Another supposed feature is a "monopod" leg, which indeed one of the legs has a foam surround. But there is no way to remove the other 2 legs - outside of unscrewing legs with one of the included Allen wrenches, but again this is not what I would consider a "monopod" quick release. The meager instructions (once you find them hidden in the case inner pocket) are no help. Then, start to compare this tripod with others in its price range, and you find you can buy a magnesium tripod with a better finish that is 1.5 pounds lighter. I can't think of why I would even consider the Sabrent.
This tripod made by Sabrent works well but doesn't compare to more pricey options. I didn't get any instructions and had to use my prior knowledge to set it up but I have to admit to peeking at YouTube videos a time or two! This tripod came with a bag for those who like to use them and I'm one of those! I like the idea of keeping it as clean as I can when not using it. We have dogs so I'm always protecting my photography equipment from dog hair. The tripod legs can be adjusted and locked into three different angles. There is the option of using the tripod as a monopod but this puzzled me. It seems to not work or maybe I'm just too dense to figure it out!The tripod weighs weighs five pounds and the manufacturer has achieved this by using aluminum in the constructions but this makes it somewhat flimsy so that you can only use cameras up to 11lbs.I wouldn't recommend this tripod to professional photographers but it's a good option for us more casual users. It's small enough to be very portable but would work better if every box had an instruction manual.
Lightweight (under 5 pounds). Very stable when set up. Easy to adjust. Very versatile. This tripod ia advertised as "full motion," and it really is. The 65 inch height is very convenient. No breaking your back when you use this in a standing position.
This is a heavy duty tripod with all the bells and whistles, and compares toe to toe with the big M. The leg extension clips are extremely firm and there's no way they will give out. One of the details I really like is on the pads at the base of the legs. You can screw them up to reveal small spikes that can help grip the tripod in some surfaces. The ball joint head moves smoothly and in every direction. I've put both my DSLR and a video camera on this and I like how you can adjust the mount forwards and back to allow for battery extensions. The included carrying bag is top quality, well-stitched with an interior pocket to hold a few things (including some Allen wrench tools).Again, this compares well with the well-known companies. The only thing lacking, and a very minor thing, would be an arm extension for the head - that would be nice, but at this price point they've really included so much that it's just a small thing to miss. It's a solid tripod that will out-live you.
This is a well manufactured tripod, which can be adapted to multiple conditions, and positions. It even has built-in bubble levels, and it basically can be tweaked with a hex key, not included. And at the time of writing this review, the user's manual is not available in the Sabrent's website, and tripod doesn't come with a printed manual. It comes with a zippered fabric carrying case, which doesn't has a strap neither, but it has the hooks, so we can use any strap from a gym bag.Photograph is my passion and my hobby, but not just still images, I love video as much. So, somehow, I've became my family's photographer, and during the holidays it's when I take more pictures and capture the most video. Having a tripod makes makes a positive difference in my photographic hobby, and it allows me to appear in as many pictures as I want. By using the timer in the camera, I can go in front of it, and pose together with the rest of the family. And having a tripod that let me adjust the camera and kept it steady, it certainly makes everything easier, and more enjoyable.Another issue this tripod solved, it's the risk of getting my expensive camera knocked over by the wind, or by the running children that are all over the room during our family gatherings. This tripod is heavy, and is also sturdy. But it takes lots of effort to knock it over, and that gives me peace of mind. Of course, I set it off the way, but even doing that doesn't make my equipment child-proof. It does takes some time getting used to it, and learning to adjusting it, but it's worthy.
I got this for a cataloging project that my department has undertaken. We've been using it with a Nikon 7200 DSLR and a light tent. It is sturdy and fairly intuitive in terms of setup. My two student workers were able to set it up right out of the bag without any assistance from me, although they did say that the leg clamps were a challenge to get unlocked on the first takedown. It was very stable and they made good use of the level (it's a pretty standard green tube level). It broke down and fit right back into its bag, making it very easy to store and retrieve daily - I have to lock up all the equipment every night, so easy setup and takedown are paramount. I have no complaints at all about this tripod.
This is a substantial feeling tripod - a bit heavier than I expected. The instructions that come with it are rudimentary and don't cover all the features. I'm still not quite clear on how putting a padded grip around one of the legs makes it useable as a monopod for example.I like the way the tripod head swivels smoothly - trying to pan to follow a moving subject with one that sticks is frustrating. The ball joint is a new feature for me, but I expect to find it useful. The center column has a spring-loaded hook on the bottom cap that can be used to hang a weight for greater stability - the spring keeps it tucked up when not in use. Unscrew the cap, and the center column can be flipped around to put the head end underneath the tripod. The legs have an interesting feature. There's a tab at the hinge that pulls out to allow a leg to be raised to near 90° from the center column, beyond the usual stop. It can't be locked anywhere in between though once you pull out the tab - it's all or nothing. The carrying bag is padded, seems fairly sturdy, and comes with a shoulder strap. It has a zippered pocket on the inside, which is a good place to store the two hex wrenches that are included to tighten the fittings on the tripod if they loosen. They come inserted into a plastic clip that can be snapped onto one of the legs.So far, so good.
When you have expensive equipment it's important to have a tripod you can trust. We have a small production studio and shoot documentaries/short films and commercials. This is a really nice, sturdy and reliable tripod. The ballhead is impressive and has smooth, perfect movement. The two bubble levels are really convenient and accurate as are the adjustable legs and camera plate. Comes with carrying bag for easy transportation and isn't too heavy. This is a solid, nice quality tripod. Would recommend.
I like this tripod. I was sent two of these, and the other, shorter 56” one is less complex so I like it better. This has an elaborate head with several knobs to adjust its orientation, and a more complex latching system. But this allows finer adjustments, so if you have a job that requires finess, this might be for you. Also, it gets tall and stores compactly.
There are three things I require of a tripod: portability, usability and stability. This excellent tripod from Sabrent gets an "A" on all three! This is a heavy duty tripod, with a lot of adaptability. When I set it in place and secure it, it is utterly stable! The knobs for positioning are easy to use and lock down absolutely tight when I secure them. The feet are adjustable - they have rubber feet, but you can screw the feet up to reveal spikes that offer different support for less stable settings! There are several levels to guide in efficient setup. There is a ball head for adjustment to nearly any angle! This is a heavy tripod, but it is nonetheless very portable - it is easily stowed in the included carrying case.I'll be getting a lot of use out of this tripod!
This tripod is sturdy and lightweight, it has multiple bubble levels for fast and precise leveling, large ball joint for a wide range of positioning, has a built in spring-loaded hanger for weights, the case has both a carry handle and a vertical loop for hanging up. This is the best tripod I've ever had, very pleased.
Sturdy studio tripod with built-in levels is a dream to use. Has a solid quality feel and stands still. The head is easy to adjust and has built-in levels. A case, camera plate, Allen wrenches and a holder are included.
This sturdy tripod is the most versatile I've ever used. The construction is aluminum and it feels SOLID compared to other tripods - you have to put a little effort into working the adjustments, such as extending or bending the legs. I kind of assume it'll get a little less stiff as I use it, but for now the "stiffness" gives me a feeling of security that it's going to STAY where I put it. There are a couple of built in bubble levels, which allows you to level the tripod on a variety of terrains and surfaces. Instead of a two directional tilt and pan arrangement to move the camera in different directions, this one has a ball and socket that allows essentially ANY direction (including mounting the camera from below to allow low stead angles.) instead of a herky-jerky pan movement, this tripod has a smooth movement around all 360 degrees, with degree markers you can pre-set to go through a pre-determined range of motion. It comes with it's own heavy duty black canvas bag with a strap and a heavy black zipper. It connects to essentially ANY camera and can turn any amateur filmmaker into a budding Tarantino.I was provided a sample of this tripod in exchange for this unbiased review.
If you have an expensive camera, you will want a camera mount that can hold the weight. This particular tripod is all aluminum and it has the ability the have 360 degree full motion. It also has a bubble level so that you can make sure your camera is level. Max height: 65'', Max height column retracted: 55'', Folded height: 25''. This has pretty much everything you can want in a tripod.
I can't say enough good about this Tripod.First, it's exceptionally sturdy. I mean, when everything is tightened, it would take a tremendous amount of wind to knock this over. You can adjust the legs at two different places and one of the really nice things about it is that there are snaps that you just pull and push, so you can quickly adjust the length. You can adjust virtually every aspect of this Tripod which is really nice. Iv'e tried it with my home security cameras, a telescope/monocular and even my '360 cams' which I use to stream off of my balcony. You can fold this up to a really small form factor that will easily fit in most backpacks and it has its own carrying case with it. I don't mean 'heavy' in the sense of being a problem, but it's quite sturdy as I mentioned earlier and it's well balanced with a even center of gravity at each setting so that it's always well balanced. This is really a great/strong/useful tripod and it's one that (unlike many others I've tried), I have no worries about sitting my high end video equipment on top of.
Works perfectly with my SLR. The tripod adjust and holds position well. Comes with a carrying/storage bag.
I'm a photographer and my husband laughed when I called this a sexy piece of equipment. If you're a photographer, you'll get it, if not, so sorry. This is 65 inches of strong aluminum with a 360 degree full motion camera mount. The legs are adjustable and are suitable for just about any project. I'm still learning the many features of this tripod. It comes with with a very useless manual, so I took to the internet to try to find more instruction on how to use this tripod without success. It has a green level and a removable camera mount. See photos for other features. I"m very excited about this tripod.
