Carbon Fiber Tripod With 360° Camera Mount

This is a great value carbon fiber tripod. It is sturdy enough for a smaller camera like a Canon 80D and maybe a midsize lens. It gets nice and tall for a 6 footer. The head is high quality and has a tension adjustment knob and a lock knob, which I like. My only complaint is the locking knob for the plate can be mistaken for a ball head adjustment.The feet are adjustable where they can be converted to stakes by tightening the foot down and the stake pokes out for softer surfaces. On smooth surfaces, the rubber feet can slide more than I care for, so be sure to use your 2 second timer or a remote for shots to make sure it is perfectly stable when it takes the picture.The locks are positive and sturdy on the legs and everything functions as it should. This is a really good value tripod. It isn't perfect, but good for the price.

As the title says, this tripod has a lot on offer, but at quite a bit less than others, such as Benro. It looks the part both in person and in the spec sheet. In practice, the head is borderline for a SLR setup. It works well enough, but the rating is OK, and you aren't left with the impression that it's got much more on offer. The plate fits well enough, but the fit and finish is lacking. It's Arca Swiss, so there's loads of better plates for various models of cameras. The Legs are OK, but the leg locks again don't inspire confidence.These nits aside, it's a lot of tripod for $170. It's lightweight, the ball is well made, and you can swap the heads. It's really 95% of a Benro for 60% the price. I'd pay attention to the locks to make sure they're set right before any tragedies.

The Sabrent 69 Inch Carbon Fiber Tripod with 360 Degree Camera Mount is very sturdy. It’s a very well made camera mount . It is fully 360 panoramic with no problems. The 360 degree mount operates smoothly. It is easy to position. It offers multiple positions for angle adjustments.It is stable. The legs are easy to adjust—all stable.It is easy to operate. The ball head system is very easy to use.It comes with a good canvas carrying case.The manual is good and fairly easy to understand.However, it is much heavier than our other camera mounts. It can be a challenge carrying this around for shoots, depending on the person. For me it is heavy.Please let me know if this review was helpful.

This tripod is tall enough that when extended to full height should place your camera above the heads of the crowd. The legs have three clamps, and the weight of the legs will automatically extend them when you open the clamps. The center column has a screw on cap with a spring-loaded hook for adding weights for stability. Remove the cap and you can remove the center column by turning the center column and invert it to get your camera closer to the ground.The head has very smooth panning once you loosen the control knob. It has two more control knobs for the ball head. You can reposition the camera with come resistance by loosening the larger knob, and then for completely fluid motion loosen the smaller knob. One large screw knob controls the center column, and it holds it firmly when tightened.There is one leveling bubble on top of the foam-covered leg, a horizontal bubble on top of the piece that holds the release plate, and a vertical bubble on the end of the knob that controls the quick release plate. The quick release plate is released by turning the knob which opens a vise in which the plate sits. (I prefer a lever style plate, which is easier, but this is quick enough.)A new feature for me is the ability to extend the legs outward. You just pull a piece out at the top of the leg, and then there are two fixed steps that the piece juts up against. With the center column inverted, you can get your camera lens right down to the ground.The feet have rubber caps that screw in to reveal spike and screw out to protect flooring. I don't think they're going to move around on you because you can tighten them on either end.These folks needs to update their product page, because this does not have a foam grip monopod leg. One of the three main legs has a foam grip, but it is not removable. The length of the center column to the head is one foot, and the head is 4".Overall, it is a very tall tripod with a smooth ball head weighing just over 4-1/2 pounds (case not included) and with enough stability for outdoor work. Definitely a great tripod for indoor work. Comes with a nice case with center handles and a clip-on shoulder strap.

I was happy with my last tripod is held the camera steady it was fairly adjustable for a few irritating things on this but I figured it did or needed to.Then this arrived. When I took it out of its box the first surprise was the box was heavier than the tripod itself.The next surprise was how sturdy this tripod is despite the fact that it weighs next to nothing!It is stable highly adjustable has spiked two rubber feet and release plate to the camera and a whole plethora of spirit levels!So if you want an exceptional tripod that is very easy to adjust this item is for you. If not I have an older heavier less adjustable the stable tripod for sale!

I consider myself an amateur photographer fortunate to have a lot of nice equipment. In the long lens department I have a 100-400 and a 70-200. I frequently find myself in Yosemite and I especially enjoy sitting in the El Cap meadow photographing climbers. I also enjoy hiking the park's more remote areas. I have several tripods, all nice quality and all a single brand allowing me to keep permanent plates on my cameras and lenses. This tripod is the first for me from another brand.The only negative I have is that carbon fiber usually means light. This tripod is anything but light. At 5 lbs it creates a heavy pack and I have to consider that when going into the wilderness. The ball head weighs a bit over 1 lb and the tripod, sans head, is a bit over 3lbs. So if you're looking for a tall tripod that's lightweight, this isn't it. However...These are the nice things about this setup. I'm 6' 1". Most of my travel tripods require me to bend over to see the shot. That's irritating and sometimes painful. This is a tall tripod and I never have to worry about bending over. That's a big plus. The legs extend smoothly and the leg clamps are very tight. The stance is wide allowing for plenty of room and stability.I've never been a fan of ball heads but this is an exception. It moves very smoothly but it hold's super-tight which is important getting those extended night shots. It has two ball joint lock controls which is fantastic. Ball heads that have only one can tend to slip or tilt in the 90 degree direction from the control lock. This has two locks 90 degrees from each other preventing that from happening. There's a nice added touch, too. It has printed on the sides of the locks how much pressure you're applying. This is nice if you actually want to move the camera and want it tight enough to hold but loose enough to move. The head also has two bubble levels. If you stitch your photos into panoramas, you'll appreciate the degree markings on the base of the ball head.Putting my long 100-400 on my camera and putting the plate on the camera, it holds quite well although I don't recommend this. Put the plate on the lens an it balances nicely on the ball head insuring a steady hold. It also hold my camera still with my other lenses without the lens plate option like the 24-70 and the 16-35.To be truthful I was disappointed when I felt how heavy this tripod is hoping that carbon fiber meant something lighter. But as I've used it I've grown to appreciate how incredibly sturdy it is and that my opinion about ball heads has changed. Just understand you're purchasing a tank, a tall tank. It's very impressive.

This is a fine tripod. It does not have some features I usually prefer -- like a pistol grip. But, it is good? I think? Honestly, I look for lightweight (this is not much lighter than my 60$ tripod), pistol grip (doesn't have it) and easy to switch out cameras (also not there). It seems to be strong and durable, but it is never going to be the tripod I grab to go out and shoot...

This baby is rock solid. I put it through the paces and tried to crush it with an overweight camera. It was fine! Easy to use, built to last and weighs less than my old pro tripod. I know what's going on my next trip!

This was just what my grandson needed for his photography trips into remote locations. It’s fairly lightweight and easy to set up. He enjoys the pictures he gets setting this up to take pictures at night. - seeing animals moving around and catching them unaware. The tripod is very sturdy and is perfect for his use.

The carbon fiber legs are very sturdy and very light. Mr Trouble is using this to replace a tripod that pretty much required its own hiker to carry, think view camera style. So we think of it as being lightweight compared to his old one. I have one that is much more lightweight but it is not sturdy enough for Mr Trouble's work. So when we say lightweight, this is relatively speaking.We had some difficulty with the tripod head. The knobs to attach the camera are different than the arms he was used to. Those were easy because he could see what they were going to do. This design was worked out through a process of elimination.It would have been nice to have a manual of some sort. One was not included int he box though we went through all the parts several times. Because the head was slightly different than any others we have used, it seemed like an owner's manual would just be an ideal thing to have.Mr Trouble contacted Sabrent and asked for assistance from Customer service but the representative was not knowledgeable about this piece of equipment. She eventually agreed to send a PDF to Mr Trouble's .edu email address. Said PDF never arrived. A subsequent call also did not lead to being helped.

For it being Carbon Fiber, I found this to be on the heavier side, but still light considering the size. However, it gets TALL. This tripod has great utility with its ability to extend so tall. The Ball head is great as well with a smooth panning motion. One of the easiest ball heads I've used and one of the smoothest. However, I don't under why they have 2 locks for the ball head that do the same. I wish it just locked an axis of motion.The included carrying case is nice and allows the tripod to be conveniently totted about and stored easily. The feet of the tripod is adjustable leading it to be able to be used in any condition.While my shooting is done statically, on a flat surface, I can see the utility of this tripod. With the relative ease of travel and the millions of ways to adjust the tripod. This really can adapt to any situation.Overall, it is a reliable tripod able to work for anyone and any shoot.

Well packed and easy to use. I had no issues using this tripod. It was very easy to mount my camera to the tripod and once mounted is very secure to the tripod. breaks down quickly and light enough to carry on a trip. Overall I am very happy with this tripod and would buy for someone as a gift!

This is quite a nice tripod. It comes with lots of ways to adjust the tripod to create a level platform for the camera and an easy to see and use spirit bubble. It comes with a wonderful panning feature for video use. The tripod is quite stable for its weight and has a nice carrying case as well.

The instructions for the tripod are in the zipped pocket inside the carrying case. The instructions do not explain what the plastic ring with the Allen wrenches attached is for, or how to release the center post from the tripod to use as a short monopod. There is a separate plate that you can attach to your camera, and unlike a couple of my tripods, it is then very easy to get your camera secured onto the tripod. The legs are very sturdy, and easy to extend and put back. The legs don’t fall apart and out like they do one one of my tripods if you try to pull them out too far. There is an easy to read level bubble. It is very easy and smooth to move the camera from side to side, so if you are shooting sports or a running animal, this gives you much better videos. There are panning degree marks for you to use when panning side to side. I have a very heavy camera, with a very long, sensitive zoom. The tripod works quite well when you are using it to go straight across from you. Where it falls short is also where literally every other tripod with a ball joint has fallen short for me. That is, when I have the camera tipped down (I shoot birds at my feeders downstairs, from my upstairs patio), or up (like the moon or birds up in trees). When I have the camera pointed down and zoomed in, even tiny movement causes the focus to be off, and part of my image cut off. So the slight creep of the camera down once I tighten it up to the best of my ability messes up the shot, and makes it not worth the effort to use a tripod in these instances. This tripod does not creep down as much as my other ones do though. I also find it helpful to have a long arm to move and adjust tensions instead of short knobs, that you can fairly easily get mixed up as to which is which. When you are trying to capture small, fast moving birds or animals, you need a tripod that can be adjusted quickly. This one is pretty good, much better than all of my other ones.

Title says it all. I want a tripod that is light and easy to carry, that when in use is solid. This is thumbs up on both counts.Connection t camera is tight, so no wobble during long exposers. Durable and well built.

I have several tripods that I've picked up over the years...most are nothing special, but filled a need when I got them. I was therefore eager to try the Sabrent carbon fiber model, since it seemed to be much more capable than what I'm used to - and for the most part, it doesn't disappoint.First thing I noticed about this tripod is it's large size. Yes, it extends to 69", but even collapsed, it's a large and sturdy unit. The carbon fiber keeps the weight to a manageable level, but at 4.5 pounds, it's definitely solid. The feet seem to make solid contact on a variety of surfaces - definitely a plus for me since I tend to use my tripods outdoors on a wide range of surfaces. Overall, the design seems great for those of us wanting to support heavy cameras just about anywhere, and that's my number one requirement.The legs open and close easily via friction clamps and you can lock the tripod at whatever size you like. There's also an extending center column, although with a heavy camera mounted, I tend to avoid the center column - it can make for a jittery experience. This is where the long 69" legs come in handy since you can get good height just by extending the legs.All of the other controls work smoothly and are easy to manipulate, even in cold weather while wearing gloves. Pan and tilt adjustments are easy, and there's a calibrated indicator if you need to be precise. I especially like the built-in fluid levels since they help me assure that my camera is mounted exactly level no matter what orientation I'm using.But for me, the real test is whether the tripod can hold my camera steady. I have a big, bulky Nikon DSLR and a few heavy lenses that come close to the weight limit of this tripod. As a test, I put my camera with a 200-400mm zoom on the tripod - that's just over 10 pounds of gear - and I tried two tests. First, I setup outdoors on a windy night and took a few pictures requiring shutter speeds in the 8-10 second range...I was pleasantly surprised to get sharp results with no sense of motion blur. I also mounted my camera with a more modest lens on the Sabrent tripod and shot some video. The results were equally pleasing - no jittery images, and I was able to get nice smooth pans.Overall, this is a great tripod for the price with all the essential features most of us might want. I'd compare it to some of the Manfrotto carbon fiber units - yes, the Manfrotto's might be slightly lighter depending on what head you select, but they are also at least 2-3 times more expensive for similar capabilities. Personally, I'd rather put that money into my cameras and lenses than the tripod.If you're looking for a high quality tripod that works well and can handle a good deal of weight, then the Sabrent definitely deserves a closer look.

Excellent Tripod with all the gizmos and gadgets you need. It is easy to operate, and is well made and very sturdy. There are levels that ensure your film or photo are level. It pans 360 degrees very smoothly. It comes with a very nice carrying case. 4 stars instead of 5 because the product description states it comes with an instruction manual. This did not.

I own several tripods, monopods, and bipods for a variety of purposes, and each has its own niche. This tripod falls into the category of "serious" use - in other words, this is not a tripod you just casually stick into a backpack as you're heading out the door. Mostly because of the weight, but also because of its size - even completely collapsed it is about 25" long and weighs nearly 5 lbs (despite the carbon fiber legs). Fully extended, it is nearly 6 feet tall! That being said, for serious use, this tripod has some nice features (though not all are perfectly executed). Some highlights:The legs are four sections and are secured by clamps instead of a rotating lock - personally I prefer this as it is generally faster and more secure, requiring less fumbling to lock the legs at the right lengths.The rubber feet can be screwed in to expose metal spikes - very handy on certain surfaces so that you can get the right "bite" for off-axis positioning.There are THREE level bubbles - one on the tripod (a great feature), one on the pan/tilt head as you'd traditionally see, and then a third that is on the end of the knob that secures the camera mount. The beauty of this last one is that when you rotate the camera 90º to put it into "portrait" mode, you have a level that will ensure that even though you are 90º off horizontal, you can still have a level shot.The pan head is really nice - none of my other tripods at this price point have a pan head that allows smooth rotation around the horizontal axis. The action is smooth enough (and friction can be easily adjusted) to use for panning still or video shots.Molded-in metal ring and shoulder strap make carrying the tripod (with or without camera attached) much easier if you have your hands full.The camera mounting plate/foot is aluminum instead of plastic, which ensures a solid hold, and the clamp uses a a threaded knob that secures the foot with a ~2" long clamp rather than the usual "thumb lever" type arrangement. This requires a bit more fiddling to get into place, but once there it feels very solid. You an also loosen the knob a turn and it will allow the camera foot to slide back and forth within the mount by about an inch while still being completely captive (no risk of it falling out). This is nice for micro-adjustments in certain situations.The tilt head is very solidly machined (and quite heavy at nearly a pound in weight (448 grams). There are three knobs on the head - one small knob to lock the pan/rotate feature (which features a degree scale) and two other knobs (one large and one medium) that as far as I can tell both do the same thing - lock the tilt ball in place. The directions don't explain the difference between these latter two knobs, and I cannot tell a difference - both seem to perform the same function of locking the tilt ball in place regardless of the angle or position. If there is a difference between them it may be that the medium-sized knob "locks down" the tilt head quickly whereas the large knob allows for a finer degree of friction (for example if you're looking for that perfect amount of friction that will allow you to reposition the camera while still holding it in place against gravity).Overall I'm impressed with this tripod - it is big and heavy, but appears to be very nicely built and has some nice features. It reminds me a lot of a Manfrotto tripod I used to have, except this one does not appear to be able to convert to a monopod. (normally the leg with the foam on it will unscrew and then screw on to the center post to create a monopod). Try as I might, I could not get the leg with the foam collar to unscrew from the tripod!

This is a very nice, versatile tripod. It comes in a nice easy to use carrying case. The tripod gets TALL. 69 inches is pretty good, my other tripods top out around 52. It's not too heavy, but the top mount does weigh enough that you do have to consider long treks with the extra 5 pounds or so in your backpack. I think it's easy enough since once you settle for shooting and set it up, the smooth panning and variety of capabilities are worth it. The tripod is solid but can easily be taken apart and made into a tripod, with the leg that has foam on it that works nicely. The leveling is really great, so you can get even shoots on video, especially. The tripod opens up with clasps that are very tight and not as easy as you'd think to open, so you have to watch your fingers while opening it up. I don't mind, since once locked, there is no slippage as can happen with cheaper tripods at times. Bottom line: A fairly priced tripod, you get what you pay for, a solid and well working tripod that is easy to use.

As tripods go this is a pretty nice one. The carbon fiber construction means its not too heavy but is still stable. Its has a mounting plate that is easy to take on and off and mount. It has 2 leveling bubbles and controls for just about every axis. The carrying bag also contains a carrying strap and 2 allan wrenches. The only thing that would make it perfect would be a pistol grip style control so you didn't have to fuss with all the knobs, but beyond, this is a good tripod to keep with your on the go camera gear.

Everything about this Sabrent 69 Inch Carbon Fiber Tripod works well. I already own a couple of tripods. One is rather old, heavy, has a lot of wear and is no longer very good. The other was a cheaper replacement. This one is very nice, the levels are good and work well, as do all the knobs. It pans smoothly and is just the right weight, not too heavy and not too light. I like the bag that it comes in and I am pleased with the quality of workmanship. I will be using this tripod from now on.

This is a beautifully constructed tripod that oozes quality from the moment you open up the three legs with a satisfying firm stop, to the point where you make fine adjustments to get the three built-in levels to their desired position. Everything fits securely and moves smoothly. There's even a cushioned grip on one of the legs for allowing the unit to be carried and moved more comfortably, particularly in the cold.I'd love to have a manual - there's none in the box, and the Sabrent website doesn't seem to recognize the model number of this product. Without the case, the tripod alone weighs 4.6 pounds. It's easy to carry, but I usually try to avoid this much additional weight when I'm already lugging camera bodies and lenses. The zippered case adds nearly another pound resulting in a total of 5.5 pounds. So ultimately this is going to be my new favorite studio tripod as well as use for location shoots where I've got a minimum of carting around. I'll still turn to lighter weight alternatives for hikes into the wilderness though admittedly the solid nature of this tripod would be preferable if I'm planning significant low light work.
