I have not had a good experience since I've bought the DS-U3B4 Drive bay. I plugged four perfect 4TB hard drives and turned on the unit. After a few minutes only two drives appear in my Mac, running MacOS 10 and on another Mac funning MacOS 11. Same issues on both computers.
Other times, I eject the drives, turn off the drive bay, plug it back in and "zero" drives appear, even after resetting it none of the drives appear.
The only way I can randomly get a drive to appear is by physically pulling one of the four drives out of the bay and waiting then one or two drives will appear in my Mac's finder or even in the Disk Utility.
Is there a firmware updgrade for this or is this just a bad product?
