Hello!
I'm unable to set the unit as any volume type.
Each time I tried, I got (after the popups) this error: [virtual disk] Operation is not supported by the objec
I searched for this error, but the results are useless.
My pc is a Levono ThinkCenter M90q, with the USB-C port. The 5 drives are available inside the disk management. I'm using Windows 11 Pro 23H2.
Is there a way to make the DS unit work?
Thanks fo your help.
Eric
@Eric Beauchamp What hard drives are you using? Certain drives might have issues. Also, if possible, verify that the cable is working, try a different USB port if possible, and also try a different computer if possible.
Thanks a lot for the quick answer and sorry for the delay.
The 5 disks are from different companies (1x 1.5TB + 4x 1TB). I tried many combination (without the 1.5TB, 2x-3x-4x 1TB) and the result is the same: the error appears at the end of the process.
I used a different cable with the same error. And this pc is the only one I have with a USB-C connector. I avoid using a usb/usb-c adapter.
All the disks are detected in the Windows Disk Management under the Sabrent unit (usb cable). I use the EaseUs Partition Paster to monitored the drives and none of them seem to be defective.
I'll do more tests with each disk.
@Eric Beauchamp In Windows these drives might be captured by Storage Spaces for pooling and may need to be manually removed from that.
I was able to add all the disk under the Storage Space. I should used this option at the begining. Thanks for your help. 😉
