So, I purchased the EC-SNVE NVMe/SATA Enclosure it is currently on V1.33.44
I have a Samsung 980 PRO 2TB PCIe Gen4 V-NAND NVMe SSD.
My motherboard can detect it but after I plug it in with the provided USB-C
(I also tried other cables like: USB 2.0 to USB-C and so on) the Enclosure is not detected If i have the nvme installed.
It will detect the NVMe Enclosure with nothing installed in it right away.
I also tried 2 other NVMe as well and it only detected the intel nvme,
while my Crucial T705 2TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe was not detected as well.
I am just not sure what is causing this issue, and thought i would ask on here.
BTW I am running Windows 11 pro.
@alt_as_king It depends on the definition of detected. Drives may not be shown as a drive letter for a variety of reasons, if they are not formatted for example. In some cases they would need preparation in Disk Management. Also, Windows 11 sometimes 'grabs' the drive for Storage Spaces which hides it from the OS, which you can check by looking at the Storage Spaces control panel. You should be able to check the drive in CrystalDiskInfo in any case to see if the drive is being passed through USB correctly. There are other reasons there could be issues depending on the host system and port, such as with power delivery, as well, but that may require a separate PC to test in some cases.
