Setup was fast and easy. No peripheral conflicts
I bought this Sabrent 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Individual LED Lit Power Switches on Oct 4, 2021and today (February 3rd, 2022) it no longer works. It only lasted 4 months. I am very disappointed!!! It worked well when it actually worked but for the price and the length of time it worked is reflected in the reviews...
I've had it for about a month with at least 4 devices plugged in consistently and it's worked great so far! My only complaint is the size of the power plug. I was expecting a box blocking a few outlets below it, but it blocks the outlet above it as well. Would be 5 stars if it only blocked the outlets below the box.
This worked perfectly to connect all my devices to my Surface Pro! Highly recommend!
great little usb hub...I got it 3 days ago and it removed a couple of other usb hubs I was using daisy chained together. 5 ports in the back and 4 in the front (2 for power, 2 for data). It's really a great unit and it's powered. Can't be beat.
Decent but wouldn't buy again.it doesn't work without plugging up. I wouldn't buy again as I needed it not to plug it as it said
Needed more USB Ports, and this unit works just fine. Plug it into the USB Port on my computer and DONE! Now One USB Port becomes 4.
It is a powered usb hub. It powers my M-Audio Keystation 61 MK3. It does not charge my device though. It does what I bought if for. The device allows me to use my midi keyboard with Garage band on my ipad.
Great number of ports on the front and back. The color coding of the USB "tabs" make it easy to know which ones are USB-A 3.0 and which ones are charging ports. When used in the vertically, it takes up minimal desk space!
As advertised
Excellent product. High quality and usefulness. Highly recommended.
Does the job
Liviano, de buen material. Su velocidad es la adecuada
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! HIGHLY RECCO!
Until now, I was using 2 usb hubs. One was a 2.0, the other was a 3.0. both were 4 port hubs. I never understood why sometimes data transfer was way faster than other times. Sometimes my phone would barely charge. The answer of course is that 2.0 hubs, ports and cables are about 10 times slower than 3.0 cables, hubs and ports. A 2.0 device will not be harmed by plugging it into a 3.0 port or hub. The device determines how much current to draw. A 3.0 cable plugged into a 3.,0 port also can carry significantly more current than 2.0.PROBLEM: My wireless keyboard and mouse connection became intermittent. I tried plugging the dongle into several different USB ports without success. I googled the problem again, (two days later) and saw a post about plugging the dongle into a port on the other side of the computer (laptop). I switched the dongle into a port on the other side of my desktop tower. SUCCESS!! Apparently, the problem is not is not in the hub, it is a USB conflict. My guess is that there are at least two USB buses in most laptops and my desktop. Switching the dongle to a different bus solved the conflict problem. If I ever realized that I was using a both a 2.0 and a 3.0 hub, I had forgotten. Now, I have one hub with plenty of ports. It is a great connivence to be able to simply turn a hub port on or off when removing or plugging in a new device. Buying this hub was a really good decision. Time will tell how well it holds up. I really like the of being able to turn individual port on and off. I have a Western Digital 4 TB drive a 2 TB drive and two 32 to 500 GB sd cards connected, in addition to 3 usb cables used primarily to recharge devices. They all work flawlessly. Time will tell the story about how long this hub lasts and customer service. I did take the time to register the hub which extended the warranty by a couple of years.
This works for my computer usb extension. It does lose some sounds quality and image. The computer has some trouble picking a camera if there are more than one available.
Worked as review said, no problem and easy to connect and start using
Es un producto de calidad
Plugged it in and it worked first time!
Lots of ports. Well made.
Very compact and functional. Detachable base can be fixed to a location with screws or double sided tape.
I hooked up one port with additional hub with keyboard and mouse, one port with xbox controller receiver, one port with a maximum 15W USB speakers, one port with a usb cable. Also the two charging ports are used.So far it is stable. The thing that can be improved is the power adapter is way big. If it can be a detached cable-connected adapter then it will be great.
This thing is weird. In order for it to start charging my iphone, I need to switch the cable to different ports, sometimes to three different ports and switching them off and on, before it starts charging. I thought it was defective, so I ordered a replacement and the same thing went on. It works eventually, but I don't think it's supposed to work this way. The fact that two units had the exact same problem tells me there is something in the design. The lights are pretty and the buttons feel high quality when I click them off/on over and over again to get the unit to start charging. The power cord is fairly long. The USB cord is fairly short. I like the power block where it plugs into an outlet because it is skinny and constructed sideways, so it can fit in between other items on a power strip. The second one come with that kind of power block, but the exact same model that I returned had come with a big square block that takes up more space at the outlet. I purchased it because the photo shows the skinny power block, so I was confused when the first one arrived with a the larger, square variety. I was so happy when the second one arrived with the skinny power block that I am keeping it and will continually switch my phone to different ports to get it to charge. It's great though.
I bought this in June 2021 but didn't actually attempt to use it until today, 1/14/22. The power supply appears to be working (blue light is on), but I get nothing from the ports. No data, no power. I have 3 other Sabrent products that all worked fine out of the box, so I had high hopes for this one. You should always test purchases inside their return window. Lesson learned.
The USB ports are loosey goosey and don't have a firm feel when plugging in USB, Buttons feel flimsy as well. Not the quality I was expecting. The ports are lay-flat versus a top style inputs which I like. It works for my purpose just wished the build quality was more solid, feels like a toy rather than a component.
Works Great
Works as advertised. The removable base includes 2 small wood screws for mounting securely to a surface - which is a nice addition as it keeps the hub positioned where you want it.
Product is well made and it's doing what I want it to.
Works well. Quality is better than expected.
Purchased 4 years ago and still working like new.Highly recommended.
