  I've exchanged the unit through Amazon. The replacement doesn't have the issue so all is good.

  @Sabrent This is hooked up to mac. I have a macbook connected to a Mac studio display. The Tower is connected to a usb-c on the back of the display. I don't see any power settings that I can fiddle...
