I had an HP laptop with a slow as molasses 5400 rpm hard drive which took FOREVER!I had a prior tablet/laptop that died but I saved the mSATA SSD.It was very easy to put the SSD in and test it out and do cleanup with the USB. Popped it into the HP laptop and works great! Vastly improved performance now!
Although the larger Drive self aligns, the SSD's need an eyeball sometimes to properly seat and connect. It works as designed, working drives in either size. Note: it will only accommodate one drive at a time. The only drawback is one I have with most desktop electronics: Could they either add some ballast weight or an anti skip pad to the bottom. I'm sick and tired of these things scooting around as I'm trying to use them :-p

This worked perfectly and was just what I needed to keep from disposing of two old, high capacity drives.
