I had an HP laptop with a slow as molasses 5400 rpm hard drive which took FOREVER!I had a prior tablet/laptop that died but I saved the mSATA SSD.It was very easy to put the SSD in and test it out and do cleanup with the USB. Popped it into the HP laptop and works great! Vastly improved performance now!

I replaced the micrco SATA chip in a mini pc with a much larger capacity, but still needed to access the old one. This served my needs exactly, and now I can do whatever I want with it.It is as fast as directly hooking it up to a SATA port, because it is simple, just a connectorno special stuff.But it is not cheap plastic. It is metal and well made, and exactly as they advertise.Package comes with the proper screws to mount the chip and the housing together.No moving parts means that vibration will not do anything, and the low powerand high speed beats a conventional drive no contest.Machining is tight and it 'feel solid' but still lightweight.Will buy it again when I need another.
