It didn't read either of the two Samsung Solid State Drives OR the Seagate HDD I tried. Too much work to return it so I guess I am stuck with it as a paper weight.
Easy to set and and worked great. What else do you need to know
The quality (good quality) is what I've come to expect after using several Sabrent adapters. It even comes with a USB to USB adapter in the box.
Like I mentioned in the title. Works fine with a 4TB WD NAS on Mac.
I was able to initialize a new HDD I bought. This is much better than the HDD adapter which has been failing lately (losing connections)

This unit was easy to use and my PC recognized it right away. Just right to save an extra HD I had.
I was rocking a 2TB SSHD for about 4 years and after plugging it into a different PC it just wouldn't read despite the disk whirring. I really needed the data that was inside so I decided to just get this reader, hope to transfer as much data as possible, and then get a new drive. But this thing was so convenient and it ended up working consistently after one weeks use and decided to keep it! Works flawlessly each boot and couldn't recommend it enough. Unless you don't like the inconvenience of it being outside of your case.

Nice little gizmo. I have several older HDD and SSD that I use as backup drives and to transport large data files. The setup is simple. Pop in a HDD/SSD of any size and transfer the files, photos, records, music or just about anything you want to keep or take elsewhere. Only gripe is that the USB cable is very short and I had to buy an extension. Other than that for under 20 bucks I cannot really complain. Amazon delivered it in about a day.

I had a very old 3.5" HDD. I just had to put it in the box, connect it and it was immediately recognized by my laptop, I even could work with the encrypted partition.
My hard drive crashed. This adapter saved thousands of important documents and photos off the crashed hard drive. Well worth every penny.

My main reason I like this product is that I have both sizes of Sata drives that I needed an external docking station for - this fit the bill and works as advertised. I really thought it was a great value for the price.
Works great. Just slide in your HDD and use the supplied screws to lock it down and you have a portable drive. Just plug it in and go. Just what I needed to recover data from old HDD and use them for transfer data to other computers.
Worked great out of the box. Easy to setup. Was able to read my HD on my computer and access whatever I needed. Just an FYI it wont run an operating system of the docking system. You'll have to turn it on after the computer has booted up. Confused me at first what was going on when an error popped up.
I also have the 2.5 inch hdd version of this enclosure. Both work great.

My old computer power supply died and this was so much cheaper and easier than trying to get the old system working again. It just works so easily! I did notice with windows 10 there were problems recognizing but I needed the files on my mac anyways and it worked perfectly there. I think there are drivers and other things that need updating to work for the windows 10 compatibility but Im just happy I was able to get the files off of the drive!
After many re starts and formatting the hard drive on another computer it seems to be working. I was able to clone a hdd to a ssd right out of the box. I was happy. then I went to format some SATA hdds and the head aches started. Computer would not see the attached hdd even though it showed up in the device manager. The Achronis software would not see the attached hdd. Changed some settings, did some internet searching tried different hard drives slammed my head against the wall. Ended up quick formatting a HD in the computer, then I put it in the external drive bay. And Bingo all is well. Formatted a second HD in the computer box, and just like the first the external drive bay works like it is supposed to do.Not sure of the whats and whys but with no manual, no phone number to call for a slap to the back my head and a simple quick solution this Lay Flat Drive Bay has been a pain in my rear end. Yes it works but only after a long argument hence the 3 starts.

The product will hold either a 2.5 or 3.5 inch drive. I'm using it with a 2.5 inch SSD right now and it works flawlessly. It's easy to put together, and everything I needed was included in the box.
I own 3 of these docking station 2 since 2018 never had a problem with them well priced to.
