Worked good to add a smaller 2.5" SDD to a computer that only had a 3.5" slot. Easy to install and since its metal its nice and strong. Came with all the screws that you need too.

I wanted to install 2 SSD's to replace my 1 HDD in my Dell Inspirion 3668. I had bays for 2.5" drives, but the cost of 2 caddy's were more expensive than this option. It allows me to install 2 SSD's in the space my HDD was currently in. Install was easy, although straight connectors will be easier to work with. I had "right angle" connectors for my original drive. I had to ensure the new O/S SSD was below the 2nd SSD and use straight connectors on the 2nd to ensure the plugs didn't get in the way of each other. Very easy install.

Me ha servido para adaptar un disco SDD a una bahía de 3,5'' sin ningún problema, en mi caso no venía doblado ni he tenido que hacer fuerza alguna para adaptarlo como he leído en otros comentarios. Todo perfecto y según lo esperado.

Drive mounting is good quality with good supply of screws. Had to return as drives are held centrally and my PC HDD enclosure only had opening on one side so couldn't connect SATA cables would also have had difficulty connecting power to second drive. Return was easy and the Company was quick to refund so 5* rating for them*

SSD installation moderately easy, adapter assembly into 3.5" drive cage very easy.

This adapter worked very well, just install a 2.5" SSD or HDD on it, and it works as if the SSD/HDD is 3.5". It worked well with my computer, and I did not need to cut any part

I have one of these drives for my Plex media.I have another one of these drives for my family videos and pictures.These drives are very fast, large capacity, and excellent build quality.You pay a lot to get these drives, but it really improved the performance on my Plex server. Highly recommended.

Made in free Taiwan, not China. Works perfectly with Mac M1 Max with 16-core Neural Engine CPU.Upon plugging it into the Mac, the operating system immediately recognize that it was formatted for an old style computer (exFAT). (a Mac will work fine with Windows formated drives, but why would you want to?) I was immediately given the option by MacOS 12 to reformat and encrypt. This took about 20 seconds. I find the drive to be extremely fast. Others complained about heat, yes it does get a little warm but most/all of these larger solid-state drives will do that. The heat is nothing to be concerned about in my opinion.My MacBook Pro has 8TB of storage, but I compromised on using this external drive at 4TB due to cost considerations. Sadly, the ability to comment on a review has been removed. I really enjoyed the review comments it allowed me to make my reviewing better. It also allowed customers to help each other with technical problems.

I installed macOS and copied my data to it. Unfortunately, it overheated and crashed about 10 times in a 2-hour duration of first use.

The product seems durable and was received in a nice metal protective case. Signature upon delivery ensured I was the one receiving the product. The lighting cable that came with the order seems to be of high quality.

The mounting holes lined up perfectly on both the drive and carriers.In my case I was only mounting one drive per adapter and had to use the bottom mount since when using the top mount I could not slide the carriers back into their bays.I will buy them again.

It works flawlessly and seamlessly.Super fast read/write for any file size at all!!!Highly recommended!!!

In addition to the speed and quiet, it appears to never heat up. Very good product so far...

used this to install SSD drive and a 2.5" laptop drive into my optiplex in the 3.5" drive bay. worked perfectly, just added another sata cable

Used as external SSD for 27inch iMac fitted with slower internal Fusion Drive. Choice of startup with Big Sur or Mojave with 12-15 seconds boot time. Not worth the bother of cracking the machine open to replace the slow HD SATA drive with a SATA SSD.

This is my second one of these. It works well with my Dell XPS. I am using them for their space and speed which cant be beat in my experience. They do get warm but a laptop cooler keeps that issue in check. I just stuff them underneath and the fans that cool my laptop keep them cool also. No issues so far. I am starting to think about a 3rd one already.

Short of building my own it’s hard to find a well priced 8tb SD AND that is good/ of reputable quality. This drive works great with my set up for backing up multiple devices and tons of files big and small. It does get a little warm after prolonged use, and I got a silicone sleeve for it but have had no issues or any noticeable performance impact when it does get on hotter side.It’s seriously sooo fast when using with thunderbolt 3/4, it’s incredible. Highly recommend.

It is very fast but can get very hot. The temp doesn’t bother me but sometimes it seems like the performance is negatively affected when it is really hot. I’d buy it again.

Earlier this year, I bought an Apple MacBook Pro, with the M1 chip. (great laptop BTW). I was surprised to learn I could not use any of my existing external hard drives as bootable drives. Seems the M1 architecture requires an external drive with a direct Thunderbolt 3 connection. I bought this drive specifically for that. I was able to easily format the drive and install OS X 11.5, and then boot from the drive. Have only used it for that purpose, but it has worked well with no issues. Footprint is small (downright tiny), and the included Thunderbolt 3 cable (just over 2 feet long), is the perfect length.

this ssd easily tops 2000MB/s writes and reads on my MBP 2019 (intel) model using any of the USB-C (which are also thunderbolt 3 ports). Testing it with real file transfer, it is still above 2000MB write speed, great product for the price, I've read online that it may over head when you transfer 400+GB files all at once, so consider that, for my use cases (direct 4K 60fps video editing on it) this is the perfect device!
