fits & works
it worked well just wish it was a little bit longer cause its about a hand size
This SABRENT USB 3.1 (Type-A) to SSD / 2.5-Inch SATA Hard Drive Adapter [Optimized for SSD works well however the SATA connector has a tendency to come unplugged with everyday use...To Remedy this one issue - I just scotch taped the SABRENT SATA connector to the SSD drive and now it doesn't work its way loose ( not a pretty fix but very effective.) Note too I'm using a part out of an old SSD case as a shock protector with the Sabrent SATA connector. That too works.
Cable length (approx 24") can reach the back of my tower making it easier for me to use. Write speed is faster than any USB3 stick I've tried. I have less recognition problems and can use large drives more reliably than large USB sticks. I've used this with XP, Win 7, & Win 10 Operating Systems. I store large files (over 40 GB) like backups and movies.
This product allows me to connect a SSD drive to my Nvidia Pro streaming device. To this point, it does what I paid for.
Excelent, this ia a quality product, everything I expected.
Computer died. Removed cover. Lifted up drive, OEM cable snapped off. Connection very cheap. Got these and replaced the broken cable and the DVD drive as well. Computer problem fixed: replaced PS. But the additional problem wasn’t necessary. SATA cable very high grade, worth it if you need new cables.
It worked to clone my old spinning HDD to a new SSD, Samsung 870 EVO. I took one star off because it comes with "Free" Sabrent Acronis software download that I could never get to work, just froze. Wasted a bunch of time and should have just used the Samsung software. I deleted Acronis and used Samsung's Data Migration software. The Samsung software recognized the unformatted drive and successfully cloned it. It did take hours to clone a 500GB drive. So, the cable works, the free software, not so much. I've used Acronis with Western Digital drives without issues, but the Sabrent version just wouldn't work.
The cables do what there expected to do
My husbands review:Was looking for a faster way to load DVR’edVideo from our SlingTV. So instead of an external usb HDD, I bought a fast Samsung internal SSD…. Which needs this cable.Received it, plugged in the drive and works like a charm, with no performance issues.Great value too.
Reads my 1 tb drive as is and the connection is snug! The blue light is helpful!
After a HD crash and replacement, I needed to try and get my data from the older HD. This cable allowed me to do just that. Couldn't get all the data but without this cable wouldn't have any. Incidentally my backup program AOMEI Backupper, failed me badly and caused the initial HD crash. So I recovered 75% of my data with this cable. Order the cable carefully because there are different ones for some HD's.
Worked great to mirror HHD to SSD for my laptop.
Appears to do its job quite well. In my case, I used it to mount a drive from a Mac on my Linux laptop.
I really love using this adapter when I just got it in delivery today. Worked as I installed to my 2.5 inch WD 1TB HDD without any issues. I didn't even have to install drivers at all. Works as advertised. No cons of the item.Overall, I think this is the best item very crucial and saves money from other enclosures that I experience failing in over a week or so. Definitely recommend this product over the others if you need an adapter to solve all issues with past enclosures! Great price, and very solid piece of tech.
Works very smoothly and easy to use.
Bought for cloning a HDD to SSD to change a HD in a Laptop. Worked exactly as expected. Will be used again.
Why I bought it:I have a Chia and PLEX rig that has 13 HDD and needed a few more SATA cables. What I liked:1. They worked great. I prefer the ones that 'click' into the drives. What I did not like:1. Really nothing.Would I recommend?Yes. Although if you have a lot of drives like I do you may want to go with the thin round version. These end up taking up a lot of space. I ended up not using it for my current system, but will save them for future ones.
Excellent quality. Good price.
nice connections, excellent transfer rate.
works great
Originally, I had ordered this, because the one that I already have, was not detecting any drives that were plugged into it. Little did I know that these attachments do not work with 3.5 mechanical drives. So ssds are going to be the only option for this. But, this one is going to be a lot more useful for future usage, since the cable this one came with is a lot longer than the one that I already have
Quality of material is good and functions as deaigned. If you need a usb to external SSD functions this is the one to get.
Excelente producto ya que con el me facilita mucho mi trabajo
I use it for college it’s save my life
I've probably purchased a total of 20 of these little cables so far. That's not because they've broken, I just use them a lot and LOVE THEM. I will not use another brand ever again.
N/A
Straight to the Point this is great with both MacBook and PC and I’ve also used it with my iPad Pro M1, I don’t like that the cable is so short I can’t remember for sure if they offer a longer cable, maybe at least one that’s twice as long would be nice, sometimes with the durability of the cable it doesn’t flex very well so when I’m sitting at a smaller table with my MacBook I have a hard time keeping it from flexing open and falling off the edge of the table, but still very good durable and useful and I’m not always sitting at small tables unless I’m at coffee shops, I have noticed that products with braided cables tend to be durable and less bouncy when you need them to stay still, it might be worth implementing.
Used this to build two SATA SSD disks from two Windows disk "C" legacy hard disks. SSDs attached initially to systems via the USB this provided, transferred legacy disks to this using AOMEI. Replaced hard disks with SSDs, the two systems booted from the SSDs and have continued working well ever since.
My Default GoTo USB3.x to SATA Cable for SSD/HDD
USB 3.0 to SSD hard drive adapter did an excellent job in allowing me to connect a internal hard to my desk top to find missing files from a failed hard drive
