Not a pretty bag but very functional. Well padded, light weight, good outdoors even in the rain. Water runs off. Very easy to clean mud off.
This Sabrent Weather Resistant Backpack is a good basic backpack for your laptops and devices. It's rugged enough to keep the elements away from your devices and stuff. It's not the best looking backpack however and they could have done a little more work on the design. The material, though it might help make it weather resistent, is rather cheap looking and weird feeling. All-in-all, I think it will protect your electriconic items, but it might not help in making you look cool.
The Sabrent BG-BPKP weather resistant backpack, made in China, is weather resistant, and compatible with up to 15” laptops. This lightweight backpack has a smaller front pocket, and two zippered interior sections. The front interior section is a large compartment perfect for books or files, with several pockets for organization. The rear compartment includes a felt lined laptop sleeve, tablet sleeve, and a couple larger pockets. The sides of the packpack has a smaller zippered pocket accessed from the back and a side pocket on each side. The exterior fabric is plastic-like in appearance, with exception of the back. The padded back and shoulder straps are covered with a breathable mesh designed for keeping a comfortable temperature during extended wear. The Sabrent BG-BPKP weather resistant backpack appears to be designed for going to school. There is room enough for a couple books, laptop, and the things needed for a number of classes. While the items I carry around for work, including my laptop wouldn’t seem to fit in this backpack. Perhaps I need to pare down a bit, but I don’t really carry around much I don’t use regularly. As a backup travel backpack, I would want a roller bag strap which would be simple to include in this design. If you’re looking for a good backpack for a student, the Sabrent BG-BPKP weather resistant backpack is an excellent option.PROS:Water resistanceGood organizationLightweightClean and modern appearanceLifetime limited warrantyCONS:No roller bag strap
This is not a beautiful or even a cool backpack. It looks like the seat of a car. People made fun of it at a tech conference, which is not usually a place where fashion is a top priority. But this is certainly the backpack you need for a tech conference, for school, or any other studious undertaking. Every part of the backpack is plushly padded, most in bright blue. There's an outside zip pocket for your notebook or tablet. Next comes a section with a collection of handy pockets, some with zips, some mesh, and one with a Velcro divider which could be opened if you need a particularly capacious pocket. One of these is just right for your Kindle. There's also a pen sleeve.Next is an extremely cushy section for your laptop, with several more specialized pockets. I put my charger in one and a paper notebook in another, but there's a deep central section which could probably hold T-shirts and underwear if you like to travel light for your tech conferences. There are additional pockets on the outside, including both zip pockets for your passport and keys and quick-grab open pockets for your phone.A place for everything and everything in its place, with special thought for your tech devices. The straps are well placed, fully padded, and adjustable. The manufacturer says this backpack is weather-resistant, and I believe it. I don't see any places where rain could reach your gear. And yet, even with all the precision and power, this is a very compact backpack. Walking down the aisle of a plane or bus, you will never feel that you're likely to hit anyone or even inconvenience anyone with this pack.Impressive performance overall.
Somewhere along the line, any kind of pack or bag that WASN'T full-on luggage disappeared from my house. Guess we just didn't have a need for backpacks and got rid of them.Except I DO need a good, durable backpack for quick day trips and the like, so I was glad when this became available to me. It looked like it could fill a void. And indeed, it has. I'm not familiar with the Sabrent brand, so I didn't know what to expect, but I'm pleased with this bag. It's not the nicest looking pack I've ever seen -- the exterior has a faux plastic appearance that is a little off-putting -- but it sure gets the job done. Despite the slim design, the interior is roomy and well designed. Both inside and outside are loaded with compartments, most zippered, two of them "hidden." A laptop easily slots inside while still leaving plenty of room for other stuff. Whether for day trips or school or other uses, I've found it to be pretty versatile. From tablets to pens and pencils and more, there is room for just about anything. It's also comfortable. The shoulder straps fit nicely and comfortably, without too much strain on my shoulders and back. There is a handle on top, too, for carrying like a bag instead of a backpack.Back to that exterior: it's not attractive, sure, but it is weather resistant and cleans VERY easily. All in all, seems like it will get some mileage on it and keep on chugging. One other complaint on the exterior: the outside pockets are not large enough for even a small water bottle. That flaw is big enough to knock off a point, because to me, having an easily accessible spot to put a bottle of ice tea or something is pretty essential.Otherwise, this is top notch. Don't judge a book by its cover!
