Works great! This replaced a problematic keyspan device.
This adapter is great! It's super easy to use and install. I had no issues with it and will continue to use it! Great purchase.
I did a refund on that cable I didn’t think it was convenient at all but it was my computer
Converts USB to RS232 serial.
looks well made have not gotten to use it at this time.
Quality product at a great price. Package was complete. A cd was include which made installation a snap.
Great product got what was expected.
Does it’s job
Works fine, although I did need to install the FTDI drivers for it to work on Windows 10. Works with no drivers on Debian. I've used it to do a serial connection with an old Windows CE device.
Best adapter I have purchased. I will buy 5 more!
not much to ad over title.
Looking all over my work place for an adapter finally found one on Amazon and it works perfect.
installed as COM4 - switched it in device manager to COM1. Worked perfect
Not at all like the pic in the ad. I did some research and this cable does not work with Windows 8 and above. I have 10 and it did not work. The cable is clear and metallic braided inside, not black. Too late to send back, package is gone. Fortunately not too expensive but lesson learned.
Used this to connect to an old Meade 12" LX200GPS Schmitt Cassigrain telescope. Seamless connection to the computer. A cheap knock off from another etailer wouldn't be recognized no matter what I did. This adapter allowed me to update my firmware and to control the telescope from my laptop. NOTE: for the LX200 series you still need another cable to go from the 9 pin serial to the input on the telescope
Lightweight and fits perfectly. Easy install and recognizable by windows...Performance excellent!!!
I chose this unit based on the chipset that it used which is more compatible for older PLC programming software.Install was easy and unit was up running in no time.Seller shipped quickly too.
Flawless
Yes! Finally updated my old Garmin GPS. Worked perfectly, I didn’t have to do anything special, hooked it up to the windows 10 pc, downloaded the file I needed, hooked up the gps, found the proper port and updated!May be a single use item for me, but well worth the price.
Not much to say, other than it works and appears to be of good quality
Works as described. Works to connect msd box to computer from car.
Works well.
I was having difficulty trying to connect my AEM wideband gauge to output signal to my laptop to datalog my 2011 WRX for tuning on the ecu. Originally I had some cheap cable with the "Prolific" chipset. That didnt work so I bought this cable w/ the "FTDI" chipset and it works flawlessly. I didnt even have to search for drivers! Just plugged the cable into my tuning laptop, it installed it and got it all setup. Once that completed I hooked the RS-232 side to my wideband and the usb to laptop. Works perfect, I would recommend this cable to anyone who is trying to datalog their AEM afr gauge on their laptop. Plus the cable was long enough to tuck away and store when im not using it. Worth the money instead of fighting with some generic cable like I did...UPDATE: 1/4/21 This cable works so well I bought another for a second project car for Wideband datalog use.
Worked for Win10Pro, Fldigi and Kenwood TS2000 setup.
Used this to attach my laptop to my boats internal computer so that the manufacturer could fix something in the eplex computer remotely. Worked awesome!!!
Super easy to install, works great as a serial adapter for the MEADE Autostar #497 series. Big upgrade from my last cable. Not bulky and no middle cable box for the chipset is nice. Just plain old simple cable that works.
Exact.
Use it to control a Meade telescope. Works great and performed with no issues.
I use this for my networking job to allow me to console into our devices. Works well as long as you install and configure the drivers, which is quite simple.
Just what I needed
This product does what it's supposed to do comes with driver software
Please see the photo for an actual signal put out by this cable as seen on my scope. The FTDI chip appears to have a proper level-shifter built in, as it puts out about +/- 7 volts DC from the +5VDC USB power supplied. It is of good quality construction and has worked perfectly for me with a piece of equipment that would not accept the output of a cable with a Prolific chip.
Needed this to program one of VideoJet printers. Worked flawlessly. Just need to make sure you install the drivers and set the correct port.
