Works mint and I’m going to buy another to pop in to my razer blade 17 I just got
I’ve equipped the Sabrent SSD to my Razer Blade 15 that I use for gaming and it runs perfectly. What I liked most about this SSD is that you can also purchase the USB Type C Tool Enclosure visit Sabrent website and download their cloning software so you can clone your current SSD which saves you time because you don’t have to go through the process of copying everything manually. Simply plug in the type C connector and close the drive to your new drive. Remove the drive, put it in place of your old SSD and switch on your pc. Great product, reliable and glad I made the purchase.
I purchased this with just the enclosure, to get an SSD working that wasn't compatible with my motherboard. The instructions it shipped with are clear, though I feel as though they could have included some more explanations of possible issues.Either the cable it shipped with or the connection port on the enclosure have some sort of issue, though. Due to the length of the cable, the enclosure has to hang from the back of my desktop pc, which is not inherently an issue for me. However, by bumping the enclosure, it disconnects the SSD, which has already crashed my computer once while transferring files. I would like to know if this is something I should replace the product over, get a better, longer cable, or just live with.
I was searching for a good SSD enclosure to transfer the data from my old 128GB SSD to a new 256GB one and found this on Amazon. Before buying it I decided to read its reviews and saw its positive recepcion, so I decided to give it a try and buy it.The quality is awesome! Good transfer speed, easy to use, resistant... What it says is what you get, something I love from manufacturers. Also, it controls perfectly the internal temperature so you can use it to transfer data without worrying about overheat. 10/10!
This device works great for a caching layer between the computer and other backup/archive devices. The ease of inserting an MVMe drive into the device makes is suitable for swapping drives as needed (If you have additional NVMe drives available). The performance for an external storage device is great! While the NVMe drive itself is limited by the USB interface, it is still achieving throughput beyond most external devices used for backup/archive. This device enables you to do a windows system backup, wipe, and restore in minutes! Great for a lab.**See the attachment for a comparison of NVMe storage at internal PCIe 4, internal PCIe 3, and external USB 3.2 Gen 2x1.
This makes the fifth time I have purchased this drive. They are simply the best bang for the buck in the 2TB size range. The overall speed, drive temperature, and reliability is great. Highly recommended.
Had no problems with it so far, recommended.
I purchased this case in order to make a super fast hard for my Xbox. Very nice metal construction to the case with very easy to fellow instructions.I purchased a very cheap NVME 2TB drive to go inside and it is super fast speed for up & down loading games.
Incredibly easy to setup and use, and works flawlessly. Perfect for the price!!
Tool-free case is well designed. For some reason data rate is ow compared to another enclosure with exact same M.2 nvme pcie ssd.Returned and kept the other faster enclosure.
I've got three of these now. Also have tried Samsung Evo Plus and Pro, this is the equivalent but runs cooler. Pro is faster for continuous random writes, but Sabrent Rocket Q is faster in every other category, so except for DB work Sabrent wins. For small short I/O it wins by a lot, for large, long transfers (video 2GB and larger) it starts to stutter as does the Samsung. The SK hynix Gold is also excellent for the price (used 1TB version waiting to try new 2TB version, but it priced higher than Sabrent/TB currently).
The item works as expected, there are cheaper options , but the device does what it is supposed to .
I looked around, and there were some priced lower, but this one came with good specs, and in practice, the ssd seems to be living up to the specs. I think I will buy this brand next time, because they seem to have integrity and reasonable value.
I bought this case as a replacement for a different one that died on me. I have been using it for a few months now with the same brand SSD, and it seems to be much better than the other case.
Genuinely tool-free and intuitive to use. Thermal pad makes good contact, doesn't gum up or adhere. Aluminum body is great for heat dissipation, which will help avoid thermal throttling. No drivers or other nonsense to install (on Win10/11).
Very easy to install. Simple. And very useful tool
I've used this for a few months as a tech to transfer data between machines that weren't already in network storage and I've used an WD Black SN850 (500GB) and Crucial P2 (500GB) in it so far. While it gets warm it hasn't thermal throttled either of the drives so far, even when transferring +200GB of data several times in a short time span. I don't have a benchmark but it's allowed either drive to transfer over 1GB/s under real world conditions.Recommend getting a slightly longer cable as the included one is quite short, also make sure the cable is rated for high data speeds as standard fast charger cables are rated only for power, not data transfer. But the short one is fine for this price point and I'm glad to have it as it's nice and compact like the enclosure.
It just doesn't get any easier than this, works with both PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs, has built-in heatsink. Feels well made and solid. Will buy again.
Just what I needed to recover drive info from a dead PC. Cord could be longer. Only about 6 inches.
Product was as described. Installation was easy and device was up and running in minutes after formatting. Only issue is that the only cable provided was a usb-c to usb-c so I had to use a usb-c to USB adapter to plug in.
Everything is well packaged arrived in a very timely manner to work perfect as described I would highly recommend this company and this product specifically
I got this to install an M2 NVMe drive into for use as an external hard drive for storing sample drum kits and project session data for audio production. The load times for massive Superior Drummer 3 drum kits and big sessions are really nice. About 3x the speed of the internal secondary HDD I have in my computer that was previously used for the bulk data storage. Very happy. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. Now I’ll never have to run installs for this stuff again since I’ll just be able to move the drive. Yay!
The unit is for M.2 PCIe NVMe drives. It is toolless and the directions are clear. It was fairly easy to install. US2B 3.2 Performance is okay, but not particularly fast.
I am using this with my 2019 MacBook Pro that runs bootcamp. It get's very hot sometimes when using for very large data transfers meaning the longer it operates at its peak the hotter it gets so just be mindful of that. Place so it can breath and not somewhere where it could take on additional heat. Otherwise it was very easy to plug and play. I went on their site and also update firmware which was super easy as well. So far I have no complains. Running EVO970 Pro 512GB in it.
Works well, great for the price point
It’s high quality, but get a different usbc cord. I installed a 1tb sabrent rocket and it works great. My only problem is the usbc plug that came with it isn’t tight enough so when I moved my 2017 MacBook Pro it would say the drive was ejected incorrectly. I got another cord and now don’t have the problem. My advice is get another cord and this enclosure moves data fast.
funciono perfecto, a la velocidad que indica. Instalacion sin problema.
Make sure to seat your NVMe properly before pushing it down, because it's slightly on the 'tight fit' side - if you're putting a new SSD in you'll also need to open Partition Manager and activate the SSD.
This product housed my PCI 3.0 drive perfectly (Intel 660p) for a drive clone over to a new Samsung 980 Pro. Very sturdy, didn’t overheat at all, recognized by my PC immediately, and completely successful transfer on first try.
A great M.2 Drive that often performs ~3-7% over advertised performance on my particular drive. Makes any task really snappy and best of all it works as advertised out of the packaging. No extra software or drivers. Just plug in and immediately get the benifits.
Design is superior to others I have used. It is easier to use with the way it opens and the way the SSD is secured. Good quality; seems like it could actually work as a heat sink also as opposed to other brands with a sliding design which offer limited contact with SSD (at least on one side). Speed was actually a little disappointing, for some reason consistently coming in a few MBs per second slower than most others. Speed test shown using a USB 3.2 port. This isn't the cheapest on Amazon but has more value. They should include a USB type A connector though, and they don't.
