When I removed the 1TB 3.5" drive from my All-In-One desktop, I noticed that the connection on the Western Digital drive was on one side of the drive (as some have pointed out in other reviews). With the fixed hardware, the center adapter locating would not accommodate the direct mating connection, and there is not enough room to add a cable. Found that I did not pay attention to the fact that no returns are accepted, so I'm out the cost of this adapter. I ended up using VHB tape and affixing the SSD to the existing mounting bracket.

This adapter places the connectors on the SSD about an inch below flush so that the SATA power connector wouldn't reach. A SATA power cable extender fixed the probem.
I bought these brackets to be able to install SSDs in HDD spaces.
