I picked up used several M.2 ssd's and these adapters work great for adding ssd's to several of my old laptop to make them better than new.
Exclusiva
Came with a mini screwdriver as an added bonus. Pretty nice.
very simple
Excelente me funciona tal como esperaba, los materiales son buenos, compra recomendada.
Just works. Plain and simple.
Just insert the old m2 sata SSD then U can use as a external disk !!!
The description says it is compatible with B and M key, this is true, but it only has a Bkey side insert guide so it’s not B and or M. In my case it didn’t matter as the ssd was a B&M. The enclosure worked just fine.
It works great with a SSD M2.
Was glad I bought this, it worked great.
Not all laptops have M.2 slots but they do support the 2.5" form factor storage drive. We have a PILE of 128GB M.2 SSDs laying around and have started using this sled to put them in for upgrading workstation laptops and general-use home-use laptops to make them faster. They just work as we all hoped they would. Easily recognized by the system, either legacy or UEFI, and just as quick as an M.2 is supposed to be (without splitting hairs or measuring nano-seconds).Cloned hard drives to M.2s in this sled boot without failure and show off their speed perfectly.Note: if you need to clone an M.2 to an M.2 use two sleds: one for the source and one for the target. Then use Paragon or another cloning software and viola: you have a duplicate.
Fast reading & writing. Reliable and awesome M2 SATA enclosure.
For those who's M.2 slot is backwards please STOP and return this item immediately "you both the wrong part". This adapter is ONLY for M.2 SATA bases SSDs nothing else. Not sure about the guys who's board smoked looks like a lot of reviews from 2018 or so. My daughter bought me three of those, I put some spare SATA SSDs in them. Closed them up and mounted in old PC and installed OS. There was nothing to that worked as deskribed and pushing 6GB SATA speeds so everything as normal SATA SSD would do except I went from one connection format M.2 to SATA. No drama, just normal adapter. I liked the heavier cover for some extra heat dissipation. GUYS PLEASE read up a little on the type of M.2 drives you are using and please remember there is no PCIe Based M.2 adapter that would connect to SATA port. This simply seas not exist. You must get PCIe NVMe adapter that goes into PCIe slot on your PC. Good luck and know your M.2 SSDs :-)
I put a 1TB Samsung Evo 860 m.2 SSD into this adapter, which replaced the 120GB SSD in my Lenovo m93p tiny pc. Install was easy, the adapter enclosure has been working for 5 months now.
Not bad, especially for the price. Only real flaw is that you can't trim the drive when connected via USB, but you can via sata
They work, can't complain.
Best price available for this type of enclosure. Only drawback is you will have to purchase (or already own) the SATA to USB 3.0 connector.
Very convenient. Easy to install
The onboard USB port is a really nice convenience if you decide you wanna take your M.2 Non-NVME SSD with you. I'll definitely buy another once I decide to decommission my laptop's SSD.
Swapped out a M.2 Sata3 drive for a NMVE for increased speed and performance. What to do with my M.2 Sata, well this adapter sets it up to be an additional data storage and transfer device either in sata3 slot or with usb adapter. Works great!
Moved m.2 ssd to make room for a nvme. Hooked up inside this case. You do see a little speed loss with the case but I think that is acceptable.
I got this to upgrade my Crucial ssd m.2 drive (this is not NvMe) to a larger capacity. With the Acronis software (free with Crucial) it went off without a hitch. This enclosure was solid and not the cheap crap. My only advice is to remember to turn off bitlocker and give it time to decrypt before trying to clone a drive.
Due to the lack of foresight by QNAP, Synology, and other NAS vendors to support firmware management tools for installed SSDs, I gave this Sabrent unit a go in an effort to ensure I had the latest firmware on the drives before installing into the internal M.2 Bays. This specific model supports a traditional SATA attachment as well as a USB 3.0 attachment that provides power and access to the drive. The USB attachment methodology doesn't allow the SSD vendor's utilities to manage the drive. However, the SATA interfaces presented no issues with recognizing the 860 EVO SATA M.2 drives using Samsung Magician. This unit would make erasure of such SSDs much easier to achieve due to the external connectivity provision. It's well constructed and sturdy. Pretty good overall value!
This is a great addition to my PC, thank you!
I like that you can use it outside your computer or you can use it just like a ssd that goes into your computer
Is a super good quality product. Easy to use! Recommended 100%
Worked like a charm.
Does what it says on the tin. Can't really complain. Just know that this will not work with nvme drives and you'll be fine.
Screws to put case together are very very tiny I know I lost one installation. Almost impossible to install cover properly. Other than that design flaw works fine
It works as expected. No complaines
Muy buena cadidad
Works.Would rather the case was metal to help with heat, but works fine.
I bought this so I could put m.2 drives in an enclosure for installing Windows and having them run without the drive being flagged as USB, like with my USB adapters. However, this unit does NOT work with modern m.2 drives. This unit is keyed for only older M.2 SSD drives, so BUYER BEWARE! Make sure your M.2 drive has a notch on the side shown in the image I provided. This unit will (I presume) work with older M.2 SATA SSD cards.
