Seems to be as advertised. Totally satisfied so far.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Works great, speeds are pretty much as advertised. Just using the stock heatsink on my board and I've noticed no thermal throttling of any sort or performance issues of any kind.
This SSD is fast, but also astonishingly expensive. I would like to think that this is a quality product worthy of the price, but two things leave me perplexed:1. The software (Rocket Control Panel) is pathetically primitive compared to Samsung and some functionality simply does not work and crashes. This is inexcusable.2. The registration email I received has grammatical errors of the kind you would expect from a cheap Chinese company on Temu. Such lack of professionalism does not inspire confidence when you are paying $730 for an SSD.
This Sabrent 8TB NVMe runs cool in my cramped HP EliteDesk 800 G8 Mini — to my complete surprise. I only use a basic thermal pad. This NVMe runs much cooler than my Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB NVMe, which is in a larger computer with more airflow.
Increased speed evident when formatting and transferring files. Installed in the top M.2 slot on ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E motherboard and was recognized as Gen 5. No changes to BIOS necessary.Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend.
