Bought this after doing some research on running a mini max with 2 screens, plugged it in and it worked instantly no setup required. Couldn’t be happier!
I am using this adapter to add two external monitors on my laptop (3 displays total) via a Thunderbolt 3 port (HP Spectre x360-13). Both external displays are rock solid at 3200 x 1800 @ 60 Hz resolution. The adapter can get very hot during operation but the aluminum case helps to dissipate the heat without any signal degradation (so far). There are cheaper dual HDMI adapters out there but many won't provide a 60 Hz refresh rate on both monitors - this one DOES! Recommended!
Works as promised, no complaints so far.
After trying several devices the Sabrant Thunderbolt 3 to dual DisplayPort adapter is finally the one to truly deliver native 4K 60 Hz resolution to two 4K monitors simultaneously without relying on DisplayLink or thrid-party drivers. Others typically provide only 4K 30 Hz resolution or don't support dual 4K 60 Hz monitors. We'll see how this stands the test of time but so far so good!
I have an older Vostro 7590 with a 9th gen Intel CPU. I was concerned that the Thunderbolt 3 port, which I believe is only HBR2, would not have enough bandwidth to drive two 4K displays at their full refresh rate. Despite my concerns this adapter worked prefectly - though I did have to manually set the refresh rate in the Windows' control panel to the full 60Hz. Well worth the money, and setup was fairly straight-forward.The connection was initially a little flakey, but thankfully Sabrent has thought of that! There is an included rubber piece which converts the USB-C connector to a screw-on style connector. With this piece installed I have had no issues w/ picture quality, refresh rate, display blackouts, etc.One thing to note is that the enclosure seems to be metal, and it does get quite hot during operation, especially when pushing it to the limits by driving multiple 4K displays. I would suggest using this in an application where you are able to ensure the adapter gets plenty of airflow.
